Always consistently great food and good service 4/2/2010

I go to the Village Square at least once a month and have never been disappointed with my food or service. The food is consistently great and the help always friendly. Pros: Once you find your favorite dish, you'll love it every time Cons: Crowded at breakfast and most lunch times more

Bad Service for a second time.. 9/26/2009

VERY BAD TREATMENT TODAY! We eat at this restaurant at least two weekend days a month if not more. TWICE now we have sat at the counter and received NO service and ended up walking out. Today was especially annoying. As we wait patiently for the counterspace to be cleared after a previous couple left another customer shows up AFTER US, sits down next to us, his place setting is clean and ready, we are still waiting for the counter to be cleared for us (2-3 minutes).. Waitress appears, pours the NEW customer a cup of coffee and chats for a moment, takes his order, and walks away. Two other workers appear and we still are not recognized. Never again. We have seen this before with other customers. Seems the ones who are known recieve special treatment. Sorry if we prefer to not socialize with the staff, but we are, or were, long time local loyal customers. We won't be back to any of the restaurants including Woodinville Cafe, or Mukilteo Speedway Cafe.. Very frustrating.. Drive a little west to Kirkland and enjoy top notch service at Hectors. Pros: Parking Cons: Service more

Terrific Find 3/24/2006

Ambience is pretty standard diner, but feels homey somehow. Fantastic staff, very friendly & helpful. The food is anything but standard diner though, little touches like M&Ms and whip cream on the hot chocolate or the bacon & cheese on the french dip make this place a must visit! Anyone who thinks this place is to expencive needs to revisit the old adage ""you get what you pay for"". You can go get a .99 sandwich somewhere, but it can't hold a candle to the excellent grub at Village Square! Pros: Good parking, Excellent Staff, Outdoor Seating Cons: not open for dinner more

AWESOME 10/13/2005

Since the cafe has been under new ownership with new kitchen staff the place is amazing. The service is wonderful and the food, well there aren't words to describe it. The new Kitchen Manager, Chris, makes everything taste great. With all the regulars that pour in there each and every day you can tell the place is where its at. If you are looking for a fabulous breakfast or a fast and tasty lunch, go the Village Square Cafe. more

Good food and service 5/18/2004

Some coworkers and I go here for breakfast every few months, and it has become a favorite of most of us. Their food is good, about average in price compared to the other area restaurants, and the service is usually good. We recommend it! Pros: Good food, Average Price, Easy Parking more

Overpriced! Nothing special about it. 11/15/2002

Definitely overpriced for the type of food they serve. If you are craving breakfast food, you'd be better off running to the supermarket and picking up some eggs and bacon and making it at home. Nothing really special about this place. Overpriced! Cons: Overpriced more

complete waste of time & money 7/14/2002

I decided to have lunch here one weekday because I was craving an omelet and this place is close to where I work. Big mistake. The waitress was non-attentive with a seemingly pea-sized brain. My food wasn't brought to me until about 35 minutes after I ordered (just how hard is it to make an omelet?) The place wasn't busy at all either. I had to get them to box it up since I had to get back to work. Was I offered the meal for free? No. A discount at least? Nope. By the way the food here is way overpriced. $11 for an omelet and a coffee? Never again. Cons: expensive, very slow service, not worth it more
