I was very impressed with the way I was treated at Startronics. As a woman you feel that you may be taken advantage of but, not at Startronics. The staff is very friendly , helpful and make you feel very comfortable with the choices you have to make. They were very open an honest with me about the type of stereo I should put in my SUV. Xm radio & the right ipod integration. I was so please that I went back a few days later and had them tint my Range Rover. There work is done in a very clean & fast fashion. I had no regrets. My 12 year old daughter calls them "Pimp My Ride" because they do it all! They have gain a life time friend. I send all my friends and family there and they are just as pleased. THANKS Eddie and Crew FOR GIVING ME SUCH A WONDERFULL SERVICE!!! more

I visited a few tint shops in Santa Monica (there is one that I got scared) and once I saw Startronics and talked to Eddie it was obvious this is where I should leave my car. Very clean shop & great customer service. They obviously know what they are doing here. My car turned out great! (2008 Mercedes Benz) Just what they promised, only took 3 hours. They were highly recommended by Mercedes Benz where I bought my car, Citysearch and by people like you. This is definitely a higher class tint shop, not your average place. It is a bit pricier than other shops but you get what you pay for! Excellent tint job and costumer service, I highly recommend Startronics to everyone. A 10++++++++ film & service. more

I called around for different quotes. When I called Startronics, they were one of the few places that warned about the possible interference of metalized film and the antenna located in the rear windshield. Most other shops did not warn of this problem. Then when I read the manual, it also warned of this problem. I didn't want to risk the chance of using metal film, even though other shops said there shouldn't be a problem when I asked about the interference (after learning of the risk). So I went with the 3M scotch tint carbon Ceramic film over the metalized film. The guy at the front desk (Eddie) was very nice and patient as I thought about which film and darkness to get. He was even nice about letting me think it over and come back. He also patiently answered my questions. I took the car in and went shopping with a friend. They called me about 3 hours later (Toyota Preius 11 windows) and said it was completed. As far as prices go, it was a little pricier than other places, but I'm still glad I chose Startronics for my Tint. They did a great job tinting my car. Although they are one of the more expensive places, I highly recommend them for their Costumer service, proffesionalism and quality. My friend took her Toyota Preius to another place in Santa Monica, and her tint job experienced was horrible, they scratched her car, bad film with lots of bubbles, when she called a week later was mistreated and they don't want to give her money back. By reading the other reviews I was surprised. However now that I became a costumer I can see why people speak so highly. These guys are great. Other shops are learning it is an educational process for them, They are not professionals yet. Trust me I paid for my mistake. You will be very happy @ Startronics. If you want to be cheap go to other places. In my opinion You pay for quality and knowledge. Pros: THUMS UP! Here it goes..... I can't say enough about these guys, simple as that. I got my car tinted , and it was great, they did a great job, and it was excellent quality work and service. I recommend it highly. For QUALITY WORK you pay more; for bad purple film you pay less. Do you shop at Neiman Marcus? or Do you shop a the 99 cents store? You get what you pay for. more

I am so pleased with the attention and service I received from Eddie. The job looks great, my car; husband's car and friends I referred. is much cooler, looks great, excellent film and I am very happy. Whether it's a new sound/video system, tinting the windows, slapping on some nice wheels, rear view camera, body kit, radar detector/jammers, navigation, satellite radio, smoked out lights, detailing or anything I can think of, Startronics does it the right way, on time and at the best prices. I recommend avoiding all the pretenders out there in LA and going to the real deal on Wilshire! Pros: Great service, quick turnaround, top of the line products Cons: None more

STARTRONICS did a beautiful job on my brand new car. I was so nervous about getting my brand new Lamborghini tinted, since I never had a tint job FROM there before, but after research I found I liked CERAMIC tints best . It is more expensive but it wont affect your GPS or radio reception + that is what the Dealer recommends. I called to Startronics & found they use Ceramic tint. Eddie himself answers the phone. He is very nice and helpful. The business seems to Specialize in more than one thing but not to worry, they do an excellent job. The TINT LOOKS SO AMAZING! Highly recommended! In fact after I went back to the Dealer and showed them everything they did to my car. (tinted my windows, Powder coated my wheels, installed a radar detector, I pod integration I heard a few days later Startronics now works with The Lamborghini Dealer. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: none more

I got my windows on my car tinted, and it feels so much better now, one of the reasons was, it kept annoying my kids, the sun was to bright in there faces. I like them too, because my car now looks a bit more stylish. So what I am saying is, I love it. Eddie and Startronics really are the best you can get in L.A. I was referred here and it was everything my friend said it would be. got a new car stereo, speakers and GPS Navigation system at a great price and great service! My car is a 1980's mercedes with lots of little things half-working. As I was leaving Eddie was even fixing my electric car windows, sunroof, door, and other little problems, even though i only paid for the sound system and GPS. Really can't go wrong here. One thing can be said about Startronics. They strive for quality. Whether it means working hard to make sure the job is done on time or going extra lengths to provide an extremely fair price, Startronics makes sure the customer is satisfied. They are highly knowledgeable in their craft and are not afraid to explain every step they take in the installation process as well as provide their own experienced recommendations, even if it means less money for them. For example, with my little knowledge about car audio, I had asked for the best quality cable for my subwoofer being installed, but they explained it was unnecessary for the bass. Such cables would only make a significant difference to the speakers, which I was keeping stock. Surprised at such honesty, I found myself to be pleasantly satisfied with the finished job. They gave me a great price on the job and excellent sound. I highly recommend these guys to anyone who finds it refreshing to see such honest and qualified businesses still around in la! I had the worst day ever ( the car wash people at Blue Wave blew my stereo) and when I walked in Eddie greeted me with a smile and laughs. He took care of it right away even though he was so busy! I ended up getting a great deal on a whole new system without being pressured at all. Not only did I get a great deal on a stereo, Eddie worked for an hour at least to tweak my amp just how I wanted it, then to top it off....he WD40-ed my doors. So sweet. So knowledgable. Seriously, I cannot recommend Startronics enough. If you want someone to deal with you in a down to earth syle. This is for you:) more

Eddie is seriously the best! I had my windows tinted with ceramic plus tint and LOVE it! My black leather seats are no longer scorching hot. Plus, the interior of the car stays remarkably cooler. Eddie was also so kind as to figure out how to successfully pair my phone with the 2008 BMW 535I bluetooth. BMW service advisors couldn't even figure it out and told me my phone was just not BMW compatible. Pros: Eddie Cons: Nothing more

The light for the radio in my car was out for several months because the dealer said it would cost $300 to replace (labor of course!!). Eddie/Startronics replace the bulb in about three minutes for just the cost of the bulb. Based on that experience, I had Eddie replace my damaged center piece, tint my windows and update several items in my car. I highly recommend Startronics, they do quality work and pay attention to details. Pros: Very knowledgable about product and process Cons: Nothing jumps out at me more

I've wanted to tint my car windows since I got my car years back and I called Startronics because of the reviews on Citysearch. I'm so glad I did! Eddie was great to work with! I dropped my car off at lunch and picked it up after work and everything has been peachy since! Working with Eddie and Startronics was so easy that I highly recommend going there to anyone.
