Robinsons Taekwondo is a Mcdojo !!! 11/3/2015

Straight Up Mcdojo Frachise Organization! Wasn't not pleased with training and found the instruction to be subpar with little regard for teaching proper technique and form in Poomsae and footwork strategy in sparring. The sparring they teach here is not Olympic Sport Sparring, but more of a mock up version of their own UWTA/ATA sparring. They force you to buy these oversize foam dipped foot boot protector and hand protector which are extremely hard to execute really good kicks with! The tuition fees they charge here are very costly/contract based and their black belt Dan are ridiculously overpriced, 4x's more than what you you'll pay at a legitimate school! Instructor at this school wanted $200 to $300 to break the contract as I was not pleased with the training instruction which absolutely ludicrous and outrageous. A student should not have to pay costly cancellation fees and should be free to leave! Avoid training at a UWTA School as they are a highly commercialized Mcdojo ATA like organization who only cares about making $$$$ more

Good Help Found!!! 1/22/2009

For the reasons of taekwondo, coming here was a good choice. The staff and teachers are very helpful, their patience was very long and enduring, despite having a bunch of kids cry back and forth waiting for their families. I can see that they put forth effort in their teachings and work on everyone's individual level. Or at least they try as much as they can within human bounds. This is coming from a seasoned martial arts veteran since middle school, I'm almost 21 now. more

Reasonable services at unreasonable prices... 8/18/2005

I have a sibling that got caught in the trap of Robinson's Taekwondo and my parents paid the dues and were not at all satisfied. The training and staff are okay but it is the cost the parents have to pay to get this service which is not reasonable. The location of the dojo are also not very good, it is not because its not in the best neighborhood, but it is because it is in a very cramped shopping center with very little parking with a very busy Florin road out front. The taekwondo discipline that is taught here is also very watered down to cater to all of the different ages of children who train, but I do not agree with this because if I wanted a sub par training then I could get the same type of training at the local community center for little to no cost. Robinson's will get kids hooked to come in to the center by promising the first month free after paying for a certain number of months up front so they get at least some money out of the parents. I just think parents should shop around for Karate training centers before settling with Robinson's. more
