Very, very long wait to get your food 11/5/2006

Every time I come here I'm very happy with the food I order BUT am also really annoyed with how long it took. Seriously, why does it take so long? It's also kind of a noisy, ugly space. And a little overpriced. But the food is good and you feel healthy after eating it. more

Not good for groups 9/9/2006

They don't do reservations for after 7. And they'll let you wait for an hour or more if you have a group of 5. They don't have a really good policy - about 10 groups that came after me jumped ahead. It's just a very small place that's best for groups of 2 or 3. Pros: RFD burger!, croutons, environment Cons: Prices, the wait, small space more

The food was whatever. Nothing really special or memorable. The servers are very helpful for first time diners...they have a bar & is near the 3rd st. so you can work off that food! the servers did seem a bit selective with who they treated well and who they didn't. I love eating here. It's one of the few places that you could totally pig out and feel good about it. Everytime i eat here, i always have this nice smell on my hands for the rest of the day. the ""burger with the works"" is the best. All their desserts are alright, if you're used to ""mock"" everything. It can get pretty pricey though. but it's all worth it. Pros: healthy, food, different Cons: pricey, parking more

Great Vegetarian food for all 11/12/2005

I went to Real Food Daily with a couple of my strict vegetarian friends expecting a boring dinner of sprouts and lettuce. To my surprise, Real Food Daily had an extensive menu and every item that was brought to our table was excellent. I recommend the Nachos and the ""TV dinner."" I definitly recommend this restaurant to those wishing to try an alternative health conscious restaurant. If you expect a ""Big Mac"" at this restaurant you will be disappointed, but if you want a healthy alternative dish with true nutritional value, give this place a try. Healthy and Flavorful 3/13/2005

Often healthy means lacking in flavor but not at Real Food Daily. I almost always order Stir it Up with either the rice or the noodles and it's heaven every time. Even the tofu cheesecake and cookies with no sugar, chocolate, dairy, etc. are moist. I think this places is totally vegan but don't quote me on that. Either way, they have a great selection of non-traditional vegetables, tempeh burgers, juices, etc. Some things are a bit too far out for me but I bet anything you order will be great. more

Good organic food 3/7/2005

This was recommended to me by several people and it is great! If you're looking for a healthy, organic meal full of vegetables, this is the place to go. This is my absolute, favorite restaurant. I am a vegan and this place has the best mock ""meats"" I have ever had. The service is pretty good and you can actually drink the water, they must have some great filtration system. My favorites are the club sandwich and the nachos. Be wary of the chef's specials though. more

Real Food Daily is a wonderful place for vegans and vegetarians to eat, but the price of the meal can easily creep up on you if you are not careful. Overall, the food is excellent, but a little on the plain side at times. If you want rich, flavorful food, this may not be the place for you. If you want a light, healthy meal that won't leave you half asleep afterwards, RFD is a good choice. The best part of Real Food Daily is by far their dessert menu. Nowhere in LA can you find such tasty treats that are both healthy and vegan. Their chocolate cake is unbelievable, and many non-vegans are shocked to learn that it is made entirely without milk, butter, or any other dairy. There are some good items on the menu: a very basic mashed potatoes with a rich gravy and seitan burrito. Then there are the clumsy daily specials you should stay clear of.
