BEST SEA FOOD ON EARTH! 1/15/2008

HOW I MISS THIS PLACE!\r \r I started working at the Piccadilly Fish & Chips in Bountiful, UT when I moved there from TX in mid November of 1977. The owner of the store was Mr. Jim Chang & the manager was Mr. Stephen Lee. (Mr. Lee became such a good family friend that my kid half brother was named after him & he is his God-Father.) Jim and Stephen were the best people to work for & they actually made me feel welcome to be there. Stephen even taught me the Martial Arts. \r At that time, I think Jim owned the Salt Lake City, Murray, West Jordan, Bountiful & Ogden Utah stores at one time & we made the BEST sea food around. \r After Jim sold most of the stores, I stayed on & worked as manager of the Bountiful store for 4 different owners with the last owner running it into the ground. But I never have forgotten what I learned from Stephen & Jim & I miss the good food we made there. \r Piccadilly Fish & Chips has all the other seafood restaurants beat hands down! Piccadilly Fish & Chips rules! \r I now live in Durand, WI & each year I camp out & work at the MN Renaissance Festival for a month & a half. I have told my friends there about Piccadilly & the good Clam Chowder we made there. Now I have about 30 people that want some Piccadilly Clam Chowder & I HAVE FORGOTTEN THE RECIPE. HELP! \r If anyone at Piccadilly Fish & Chips reads this, I can be contacted at donna_royce@yahoo. Please contact me & get me the recipe for the GOOD CLAM CHOWDER so I can make a batch of the good stuff for my friends this summer. All in all, I am VERY GLAD to see that Piccadilly Fish & Chips is still around and is still serving the best sea food on earth. Until I get a chance to visit Utah again, (I do not know when that will be.) Keep a Lg. chowder, a Lg. fish dinner, a Lg. shrimp dinner, some scones, a Lg. cole slaw & plenty of tarter & shrimp sauce ready for me. What I do not eat, I will freeze & take it back to Durand with me.\r \r Lady Donna Royce Pros: I am going on memory and I have not been back for years so I can not comment here. Cons: I am going on memory and I have not been back for years so I can not comment here. more

Best fish in town.... 7/1/2006

Update on their location: they are now located about 1500 South State Street. When Piccadilly closed down in May of 2005 I was heart broken thinking that I would never have any more of that good clam chowder and wonderful halibut. In Jan 2006 they reopened at their new location and the food is just as good as ever!! They still have the lemon juice and malt vinegar at the tables ~ they only lost the dark walls.. This location is big, spacious, comfortable and is open 6 days a week. Give it a try mate!! Pros: Great location, plenty of room more

What a cozy shack. 5/12/2004

Staring at the counties of England on your way in is always fun. The fish is a little soft for my taste but the batter is good and stiff. great chips and chowder and iced tea, and always a great deal. A little heavy, but every now and then who doesn't wan ttheir entire lunch deep-fried? Fish Sandwich is only one piece on bread for 2.49, not worth it. Go with one of the meals instead. THey also have halibut and shrimp if you're not into cod: chicken and eggrolls and stuff for people not into seafood at all. Equipped with Malt Vinegar and Lemon Juice at every table, you can almost feel the sea-wind hit the dark wooden walls outside. more
