Lets make a deal... 9/22/2014

Ordered my new Hyundai in Feb., salesman was let go from Patrick and my order "floated" around until March until my new car was finally delivered. The Sales Manager called to let me know the vehicle had arrived, but the price was increased by $300+ from the agreed-upon price. The Sales Manager had a "take-it or leave-it" attitude. I was ready to leave-it, but wife was tired of waiting (and grandson had been promised my then-current vehicle.). The sales manager later called, after having re-discovering his negotiating skills, and we agreed to meet in the middle, although still more than the contract price. The day I took delivery, I was subjected to an hour-long presentation on the various additional options and up-sells that I was not interested in, but the salesman did his job by going on-and-on-and-on, attempting to maximize the transaction. Shortly after taking delivery, wifey lost one of the proximity keys (of which Hyundai only allows 2 to be active - WTF???). Patrick wanted $300.00 to replace. Broadway Hyundai, Green Bay, wanted $200.00. Wanna' guess who sold the proximity key...? The vehicle is safe, great handling and all-around a good drive. Unfortunately, the post-deposit transactions left me with a less than positive taste in my mouth for Patrick Hyundai. more

good experience! 7/19/2011

I bought my 2011 Veracruz from Rosen dealer in Algonquin. When I was told that my brake light was out, I called Patrick Hyundai, since it was closer to home. Although they were "swamped", I was told they could fit me in later that day. I had to take along my two young grandsons with me, and was worried about the time; I was very happy with the fast and efficient service. Randy told me to come back any time, even though I bought my car elsewhere., and they even washed the car! Thanks to all! more

I have a 2005 Santa Fe which I bought at Patrick and have had serviced at Patrick. I've never had a problem with the car or the service there. I even sent my sister to Patrick to purchase a new car after hers was totalled in an accident. She's delighted with her Elantra and I received a "referral" payment. more

$50.00 test drive incentive from Hyundai 9/19/2006

I did this a long time ago, late May, had all the paper work filled out properly, (Hyundai salesman Jim, very knowledgeable by the way) I sent it in to the address specified, waited 8-10 weeks for an email instructing me on how to claim the $50.00 certificate etc. etc. etc. I have seen nor heard anything about it since and wonder how you folks get away with these misleading incentive offers. I had some serious thoughts about buying the Azera I test drove, but it appears Hyundai America cannot be trusted with a simple $50.00 incentive, so I'd wonder about sales and service on a $30,000 vehicle. Shame on whomever screwed this up. John E. Hoeksema more

I recently received a request to go do a test drive on Hyundai and drove to Schaumburg(about a 20 minute drive) to do it. I was really excited to receive the test drive for 2 reasons, the main one being that I've decided that this car will be my next car, I really like it and friends that have bought it have really liked it and as a bonus they were going to give me $50 gift card for the test drive. When we got there I was a little disappointed that the cars that they had on the front lot ended up being the 'used' ones and the new cars were in the back lot where you couldn't see them! Does that make any sense? Then when we went to do the test drive (we had the 2 girls with us) we couldn't do it because the salesman couldn't figure out how to work the seatbelts in the back seat!!! What? So, that ended that. Now I'm not so sure about buying this car anymore, was it just the wrong place that I went to, the wrong salesman that I got, or what? more
