My only quam is the parking situation. Thanks to the new LegoLand next door, we all must leave a few minutes earlier to scan the parking lot for a spot, but it's totally worth it when you step inside Asha! From the smiling polite girls who greet you to the warm neck pillows, tea and water upstairs, Asha always makes you feel welcome. So far, I have experienced one service from each department and have not had a problem yet! My hair colorist Heidi found the perfect hair color to go with my skintone and I am so incredibly happy with it! My haircut is literally PERFECT, not a hair out of place! Thanks to Kelly! As long as I live in this area, I will never go to another spa other than ASHA.

First time trying this salon. I had received a gift card and was looking for a new place to get my hair done. I was in serious need of a cut and had never had my hair colored. Lisa highlighted and cut my hair and I am very happy and have received mucho compliments.
Pros: nice stylist

Good: I recently had my hair done at this salon by Kate. I loved how she made me feel like I was her number 1 priority. She did a great job on my color! I've never had such a wonderful experience with a hair stylist in my life! the way she cut my hair is fabulous also. It does what ever I want! I highly recommend Kate for color AND cuts! She is Great!!!!.

Essence is the best! They are very flexible with their photo packages. I picked my package after the wedding day. My photographer listened to us and incorporated our requests into how she shot our wedding day. The photos were gorgeous and the album is a beautiful magazine style album. We also loved the highlight reel from our wedding video. They helped make our day perfect and now we have all the memories forever!

I've been going to these stylists and colorists prior to the lot of them opening Arte' Salon: and I have stayed with them for over 10years easy. Service is excellent; of course especially when you have your regular stylist and colorist. I go to Nicole for my cut (can't say enough good things about her); and for my coloring, to Lori who no longer works there; however, Sarah and Pearl are as good. All are very nice, accommodating and, let me tell you, I have never left that place, unsatisfied with the level of service they provide. I have always left happy with the results of my hair cut and my coloring.
The ambience is great.

I've had my hair cut by Jimmy for the past couple years, and I absolutely could not be happier. He has curly hair himself, and appears to truly want to listen, understand, and deliver for his clients. Each appointment begins with a dry hair consultation, wherein Jimmy pays close attention, even though it may be the same thing I say each time. He is open to any questions or concerns I have, and never appears rushed.
The folks who shampoo my hair are always amazing, massaging my scalp, leaving me feeling relaxed, and returning me to Jimmy, who gives me the long layers I want without the "stacked" or "shelf look (i.e. where the front of your hair looks incongruent with the back, or about ten inches shorter - curly gals you may know what I mean)." Jimmy always takes him time with the cut, and always blow-dries my hair straight with a round brush. It's the only time my husband really ever gets to see my hair straight, and it seriously looks unbelievable - like it's not even my hair. I can't say enough good things about this stylist. Now that I've moved out-of-state, I've still returned to him while on business travel as the stylists I tried at high-end salons in my new area cannot compare.
Also, I have had my hair colored by Nick several times. He is equally as amazing, but I am a poor color client as I don't keep up with appts frequently enough to maintain the depth of color I want. Nonetheless, from my verbal descriptions, Nick was able to deliver a vibrant deep chocolate with red highlights that were truly red (and not orange - ick!), and looked amazing. Further, he is a fantastic conversationalist and just simply lovely to work with. Like Jimmy, he is accommodating and patient, regardless of how busy the salon is.
Overall, I have been thrilled with every appt I have had at HiP, and that's saying a lot for this budget-conscious, professional curly girl. You can't go wrong with these guys at HiP!
Pros: Expert styling, cuts, and color; Top-notch customer service
Cons: Jimmy & Nick *don't* live where I've had to move!

I have been going to Charles Hairtime since I was 25 years old. I am now 52 and have been living out of town for the last 24 years. As a military wife, i have traveled and moved all over the USA, including Alaska. I have NEVER received such professional hair styling as I have from Chuck, the owner of Charles Hairtime. I have had some cuts that were so bad, it took months to get a normal style restored. Thankfully, I still get to have Charles style my hair while visiting my parents. Ahh, I get a truly professional and personalized style that is just right for me and I am happy until it grows out and I have to go to some very nice people who have a license to cut hair but have offer inferior quality compared to what I have received from Charles. Let me also mention that I have very thin, wavy and difficult hair. From the very beginning, Charles looked at the shape of my face, the type of hair I have and created a style that was just right for me. As for the pricing, I have been charged a much higher price in many other states where I have lived. I feel I have a good perspective having lived so many places and having been to so many stylists. Regarding the comment about Charles asking "personal questions" when I met Charles at 25 years old, I had some serious issues in my life and he never pried into my business but was merely friendly. I hate having someone cut my hair when they are impersonal and unfriendly. When it was time for my daughter to have her hair cut as she became a young lady, Charles was the first person I thought of and she really felt like she had her first professional hair styling. Hey Charles, I look forward to my next appointment with you!

My experience with Sandhya Matthews is that she listens intently and that, combined with her vast storehouse of knowledge, expert skills, and her sensitivity to her client's feeling states is very healing. Through her work and techniques, I was able to let go of some emotional baggage so that I had lots more energy for the next few days. She is both focused and very passionate about her work, constantly attending workshops and seminars to improve her skills and augment her knowledge base in the healing arts. You can't go wrong with Sandyha; she's is an exceptional healer.
