I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time, there are only two located in hour area and they aren't what one would consider to be 'close by'. My sister and I took the girls and spent a couple of days in a hotel between Christmas and New Years. This restaurant is very close to the hotel so we decided to check it out. First off, they have a fabulous salad bar, it has everything imaginable on it, including 4 freshly pre-made salads, then they have a Bread station with freshly baked breads and muffins (the asagio garlic bread was to die for), a Soup station with I'm guessing at least six different kinds of soup, Ymmm, a Pasta station with some of the pasta's freshly premade (the girls loved, loved, loved the homemade mac and cheese) or they will make them up to order, then of course there is a Sundae station. The food was just great, wish we had gone there sooner, never knew what we were missing and we will definetely be going back!!

They have a smaller type brochure, about 15 pages, but some really great things. One of the fun things that I bought was personalized books, they use the kids names, their friends names, your address, etc. with other characters (I picked 2 Disney books) in the original book. They really loved it! I bought Disney character stickers with their names on it. They have growth charts, address labels, stationary, baby blankets, clocks ~ you'll just have to check it out. I recently decided that I needed to purchase new glasses and really couldn't decide where to go. I've tried several different places, everything always seems to be the same, even the places that advertise cheaper glasses, I come out paying over $300.00 for! This place is only a couple of miles from my house, it's been there forever. I figured at least I wouldn't have to drive far to pick my glasses up. The eye exam that the doctor gave was very through, the best I've had in several years! The people that work there were very nice and helpful, I went in thinking that I'd buy 2 different pairs of glasses but was able to get everything in 1 pair which ultimately saved me money! They also had really good coupons available at their website!

We used to live in this area and ate here quite often with the family and work. Since my husband and I were both in the area we decided to pop in for dinner. The food was still very good, prices good, atmosphere was the same, service(?) not as good as it used to be. Now, I know that you are all going to think that I'm strange but . . . we ordered pork chops with a baked potato, something normal, right? When the waitress brought our bread basket, she only brought 3 pats of butter. Upon serving our meals we asked her for more butter for the bread, not realizing that the baked potato would be completely plain (or we would have asked for more butter for the baked potato). She comes back to the table with 2 more small pats of butter, my husband asked her for more so that we had some for the potato's and you'd have thought he asked her for a free meal. She carried on and on, saying she just brought us 2 more pats why couldn't we use that? Now, I've never waitressed, but doesn't this seem a bit strange? It was only butter, normally when you order a baked potato they automatically bring butter and sometimes sour cream. The whole thing was so stupid, I don't think we'll be in to much of a hurry to go back! Service was definetely lacking.

I have been a big fan of Fannie May Chocolate since I was very young and introduced to it by one of our neighbors for Easter. You talk about chocolate heaven! You can't do any better than Fannie May, just ask any one that has tried it! As kids we didn't get chocolate of this type because it was to expensive, because of that I try to treat my girls to it at least a few times a year. Last year I stumbled upon something that I never knew they did ~ they came out with an Advent Calendar!! I was so excited I bought one for each of the girls to count down to the night before Christmas, they loved it and so this year I've done the same thing. It gives them something to look forward to, they aren't constantly asking 'how many more days until Christmas' and they get a little chocolate treat every day to look forward to!

Tons of different arcade games, skeeball, water shooting, wooden horse racing, different slots, virtual rides, pool tables,etc. We've eaten in the restaurant a few times, they have a special that they do frequently that gives you a $10.00 play card with a selected menu meal, this deal can't be beat, you get great food and it's like they pay you to go play their games! We've actually been going to this little store for years, my husband had been going there before we met and now we are taking the girls there. It is a very tiny little store, the space between two buildings actually. On one side of the wall there is what we used to refer to as 'penny candy' of all sorts to choose from. At the very back end is where they make the popcorn, fresh, no butter a little salt, its like an indoor concession stand that's always there. When you dive into this popcorn you'll think you died and went to heaven. One of the best things about it, other than the fabulous taste? It's not greasy? I find myself laughing because I cannot believe that I am actually going to write a review on a McDonald's! Don't give me any guff, but I am not a big fan of the Ronald McDonald club. I could take it or leave it, prefer other fast food joints to this one. We were driving passed this one when the girls asked if we would please bring them here, reluctantly we agreed. I've never seen a McDonald's quite like this one before. It has 2 stories, very modern yet retro looking. In part of the room there is a very large, high counter, table with stools around it. Above this area, there has to be, easily 10 ~ 15 different flat screen TV's set on different stations so one can find something to watch. The people working here were the nicest, most accomidating people I've met in a long time. It was actually a pleasure eating there! http://mcdonalds.com

This is the second year that we have taken the girls to see Santa at Yorktown Mall. My girlfriend suggested it last year and we all went together, this year it was just my sister and I with the girls. Santa gets to this mall earlier than other malls, he looks so real and he is one of the nicest Santa's I've ever seen. We've been really lucky with the pictures we've taken here too, they have come out really well. They also have a larger size train for the kids to ride that is minimal in cost. The mall itself is not really overwhelming, it's a nice size and has a lot of different stores to check out, along with more on the outside. http://www.yorktownshoppingcenter.com

The girls have been absolutely 'Jonesing' to go here since we first saw this place. There is one a little closer to home but we had a somewhat unpleasant experience with 2 of the people on the phone and decided to go to this store instead, and we were very glad that we did. They have a large variety of ceramics to choose from, you pick one out that you'd like to paint, then choose your colors and sit down and paint at one of their tables. You can get more paint as needed, or different colors, they will even help make suggestions on what to use. When you're finished you pay for your item, leave it for a week so they can fire it up in their kiln and pick it up for use or display.
