Bad customer Service 3/21/2008

This was my second time visiting this establishment. The first time was cool, the waitress was nice and the food was good. This time the food was good but the service was ridiculous. The waitress seemed like she did not want to be there and treated us like it was our fault that she had to work there. Then she did not ask if we needed anything else, she just brought out the check and was upset because we wanted to order dessert. After ordering the dessert she brought the ticket and walked away. Ten minutes later she still was no where in sight. It was obvious that we were ready to leave when she dropped the tickets off since we had our jackets on and our bags on our shoulders. Anyway, after not seeing her for a while (and we had to get to work) I walked up to the counter and asked the manager if he could check us out. Without even looking at me he said (in a rude, disgusted tone) ""give it to your server"". I tried to explain that she was no where in sight and we had to leave. He did not even acknowledge my presence and walked away shaking his head like I was the most disgusting creature he ever saw. Needless to say I would never go back there. Nothing is worth being treated like that. more

Pastries a' NO NO 11/5/2007

They do not accept call ahead seating, so you put your own name on the list...and wait. The coffee was nothing to crow about, the food was mediocre at best -uninspired, they had run out of nearly everything by 10 am and the service was incredibly slow. Solutions: a larger space, call ahead seating, more staff, better coffee and better food. And, everyone in our party got sick...so fix that too. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Not worth the drive or the wait more

Best Breakfast In Decatur! 8/15/2006

At least once a month, my best friend, and myself, end up a the A Go Go! for a great breakfast. The omelets are made to your liking, big and fluffy, running over with fillings of bacon, cheese, peppers, salsa or what stikes your fancy. I have to loosen my belt, to handle the tasty cheese grits. And on top of everything else, the cathead homemade biscuits will put you into breakfast heaven. The owner, Bob Light, is a very friendly sort, who makes you feel at home. Forget the diet when you come here! Pros: Homemade Cathead Biscuits, Serious Omelets! Cons: Gets Crowded Fast! more

BLT just the way I like it 6/20/2006

That BLT is purty darn good & my buds live by that famous shredded chicken salad in the sandwhich form. The atmosphere is always a bit cramped, outside seating is great on a nice day. It's a little bit slow for lunch but takeout is great, call it in. Pros: tasty BLTs & chicken salad, outdoor seating Cons: tight quarters, slow lunch service, (mary's pregnant and thinks it smells like eggs) more

Best Chicken Salad in Town! 8/2/2005

I live in Buckhead and travel out of my way to get the chicken salad here. The chicken is shredded instead of diced and it is absolutely amazing! The service is a little slow during the lunch rush so don't expect to get in and out quickly but the food is well worth the wait! Pros: Chicken Salad, Desserts, Friendly Staff Cons: Slow Service more

Bob Light is an Atlanta treasure! 3/29/2004

I first tasted the work of baker Bob Light at a friend's wedding several years ago. Though I usually hate wedding cake, especially the plain old white and butter cream variety, I was floored by his work. It was delicious. When my wife and I got married we called Bob. He made an unbelievable chocolate mousse cake and a carrot grooms cake for us that garnered scads of rapturous compliments. We almost didn't get any ourselves because people kept coming back for more. They also provided excellent catering with the best chicken salad either of us had ever tasted, chicken satay, finger sandwiches, and more. Pastries a Go Go as a restaurant is every bit as stellar. Bob's biscuits are beyond compare and I recommend all of his delectable sweets. Be sure to try the chicken salad, the best in Atlanta. The place is usually crowded, so go early. Pros: Teriffic food, Reasonably priced, Great for catering Cons: , Sometimes crowded more

Great breakfast and bakery 11/3/2002

We were won over by the incredible breakfasts. So we contracted the chef (Bob Light) to do our wedding cakes and were absolutely floored. We had more comments on our wedding cakes than anything else, for WEEKS! more
