Best

I can't speak for everything at the store, but their mini cupcakes and cheese cakes are awesome. I have never had any problems. Once we came in and we wanted mini cupcakes and the...

Worst

I am new to the Katy area, and I can't tell you how much I wanted to like this place. The curb appeal was enough to draw me in, and the atmosphere is adorable, for lack of a bette...

Ooh La Love! 1/1/2010

I always have a great experience at Ooh La La. The bakery is super cute and a pleasant place to enjoy a treat. This is a must stop when friends from out of town visit me. The staff is young and friendly, I've always had good service. Pros: Cheesecake! Super Cute Cons: I wish I lived closer more

Outstanding Customer Service 12/30/2009

I am a long time customer of Ooh La La and have always been extremely impressed by the desserts and have always found the employees to be very friendly and helpful. Most of her staff is younger (high school aged), but still have always provided top-notch service!! Pros: Best desserts in Houston, Excellent Service more

I look forward to every visit to Ooh la la. 12/30/2009

Each and every experience I've had at Ooh La La has been truely wonderful. The staff greets me as soon as I walk through their door, they always give me ample time to decide on my pastry purchases and offer to make me a drink each time. Pros: Excellent, knowledgeable employees more

Ooh La La... The sweetest place on Earth 11/15/2009

I once said I would never find a place where I'd LOVE everything on the menu... I was WRONG! Just when you think you've had the best bite of your life (at first I thought the cupcakes), you take the cookies for a tasty spin (the choc chip cookies are worth dreaming about), then you try the cheesecake and then you try the banana pudding... I promise it just keeps getting better. I'm the type of person that will share anything with you... unless it involves dessert from Ooh La La. The owner is so creative and the staff are as sweet as the treats! Pros: delicious, fresh, customer serv - quick, clean Cons: I wish I could go there more often more

Yummy Cuppy Cakes! 11/12/2009

I recently purchased cupcakes and a huge cheesecake from oh la la bakery and while the cheesecake was delicous and fresh, the customer service was horrible. No one smiled or greeted me as I walked through the door, everyone was just doing a whole lot of walking around but not helping the five people that had walked in behind me. They have a ""young"" staff so maybe they need to train them better because it was almost a deal breaker. Pros: Cute, Quaint, Yummy food Cons: Poor customer service, disorganized more

Local Grocery Store Bakery Just as good! 10/7/2009

I stopped in after my daughter told me this was ""the place"" to get the real treats. it was our snack night for our meeting. First of all they were almost out of cupcakes and not making anymore by 5:30. Then I noticed the price! $3.00 for a cupcake? For my group of eight girls that would have been well over $20. I decided to get the large brownies displayed in a showcase on the counter. Low and behold, I heard more than once that they were hard and tasted stale. I had to throw more than half away because the girls did not want to eat them. I guess from being in the little display showcase all day they got hard. I was genuinely disappointed. Pros: Look Pretty Cons: Not enough and pricey more

good selection, freindly service 7/12/2009

the key lime cheese cake was nice and light, not too rich; the choc rasp cake was moist and not super sweet which is nice ... coffee was fresh too and they were about to close ! Pros: just enough of a selection more

It's NOT just me! 6/2/2009

First visit, I ordered three cakes for my boss's retirement party - they were AWESOME! So rich, even those who usually take too much at our gatherings cut back on their servings. Pros: Delicious, moist, rich cakes Cons: Dry cupcakes with non-buttercream icing more

Everyone needs to stop by Oh La La~cause its yum yum yum 5/5/2009

I love this place. So cute and adds charm to Cinco Ranch. Drive thru just adds to the temptation and convenience. Dont forget to try their latte's also. Pros: Amazing cheesecakes! Cons: I can't eat 100 in 1 day =( more

There must be some people here who LIKE Dry Cake! 4/30/2009

...some of you people must have NEVER eaten a moist cupcake!! Seriously!! I got a cupcake at WALMART and it was moister AND you could actually taste the flavor in the icing. At Ooh la la, the icing tastes like it's made from a bland base icing and just dyed and flavored minimally. The cake is SOOO dry! WHY is it so dry?! If someone who works there could tell me, I'd be very interested. I mean, obviously some people are enjoying the dry texture, but---that's not what most of the public likes. I would be very interested to know if they make the cupcakes and then freeze them--or if they're fresh...cuz it's hard to make a dry-fresh cupcake. Anyway- moisture, people! MOISTURE!!!!!! Pros: variety Cons: DRY - minimal taste more

Dry cake and cupcakes 4/29/2009

My family stopped by this store for the first time last night and we picked out two large cupcakes and I had a slice of Red Velvet cake. Pros: presentation, store decor, location Cons: in my case... old deserts more

Ooh La La... MMmmmm Hhhhmmm! 3/11/2009

I'm not really a sweets persson but I love a good cupcake and was in the area visiting my sister when we drove by and had to check it out. There is a wide variety of cupcakes, cakes, and drinks. The young lady there was very helpful and the ambiance it self just made me want to sit down with my HUGE cupcake, a cool glass of milk, and just spend the morning there. Makes me sad they don't have a location in the city. Pros: Variety Cons: Not in Houston = ( more

ooh love love 3/9/2009

I am a very good baker and completely disagree with the bad review someone else wrote. The bakery items at oh la las are excelent. In addition to the cupcakes, the eclairs and cakes are fabulous. I have brought the baked goods as hostess gifts and have converted others oh la la-ites more

Ooh La La is not so magnifique 1/27/2009

Tonight I went to Ooh La La after dinner for dessert around 7:30 pm. I lOVE good cupcakes. The chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting though was a let down. Pros: Parking, Service, cute menu, eat in and out Cons: The cupcakes just arent that good. They need to use higher quality ingredients more

Ooh LA LA is right!! 1/18/2009

We've been here several times and every time has been fabulous! The cupcakes are to die for and their cheesecake is fantastic! The ""Elvis"" red velvet cupcakes are excellent. We'll keep going back as long as they keep baking!! more

I know cupcakes and these are the BEST! 11/16/2008

I first heard about Ooh La La from watching ""Great Day Houston"" with Deborah Duncan. The cupcakes looked good enough to eat right off the screen. I wished I had smell-o-vision! I HAD to try them. Pros: The drive thru for busy moms! Cons: Not open 7 days a week! (closed Sunday) more

Disapppointing... 8/30/2008

After enjoying a nice lunch elsewhere, I took a friend to Ooh La La as a special surprise for her birthday. I'd heard that the cupcakes were to-die-for. When we saw the cupcakes in the display case, we had no doubts that they'd taste as good as they looked. We each made our selection (a cupcake to eat there) and I ordered an additional 1/2 dozen (a variety of cupcakes) to take home for my family. The cupcakes were extra-large and were iced generously and decorated nicely. Some had fillings; some did not. They looked divine! Pros: Cupcakes are decorated beautifully and icing is tasty. Cons: Cupcakes are horribly dry and blah tasting. more

I am ADDICTED! 8/28/2008

I will find any reason, not that I need one, to buy CC from Ooh La La - dinner parties, son's graduation party, showers, or just because it's Friday and I am addicted to the Margaritaville CC. The ""Monday"" Turtle CC and ""Wednesday"" Drama Queen are just as wonderful. Their cakes are large and just as wonderful. They also make these cute little tarts in these cookie shells. I haven't tasted anything I didn't like there. Pros: Food, Smoothies, Ambience, Service, Cons: Not open on Sundays more

Ooh La La is the sweet life 8/27/2008

I absolutely ADORE this fabulous addition to the epicurean community of Katy. What a CUTE store!!! Such a great name too! My husband and I go there at least once a week. We love sitting in the comfortable living room area and sampling a new dessert every time. I'm trying to sample each dessert at least once, but this is difficult because the wonderful chef keeps adding new beautiful treats each time I go. My all-time favorite has to be the Tiramisu. I am an expert and a connoisseur of Tiramisu (self-appointed of course), and this has to be the best I have ever had (and believe me I've had plenty). I also love all the key lime pie, the eclairs, the chocolate italian cream cake, and all of the cup cakes. What a wonderful and accomondating staff also. You typically wouldn't expect much from high school students, but the staff her really goes above and beyond!! I can't write anymore because I am drooling all over the keyboard. If you have not made it to this treasure yet, you absolutely must!!! Even if you don't live in the area, trust me, it's worth the drive. more

Ooh la la is part of our weekly routine! 8/27/2008

My wife and I have been coming to Ooh La La since day one. We go there once if not twice a week. We try something new each time we come. It seems that each time we visit is better than the last!! Are favorites so far are the chocolate italian cream cake, pina colada and velvet elvis cupcakes, cannoli's, butterscotch pecan cookies, and last but not least the chocolate chewy's. Bottom line- great desserts, great staff, and great coffee. Words can not describe Ooh La La! Not even fabulous!! more
