Great place for for my needy little dog to get the TLC she needs every day. I've been taking my dog to Old Farm for 7 years on a daily basis for day care. Great staff that makes me feel at ease that my animal is in a safe place each day.\r \r Pricing is reasonable and boarding is always available if/when notice is given. more

MY DOG CAME HOME VIOLENTLY ILL 4/4/2013

I brought my beagle in for 5 days over Easter weekend. I brought his own food and bedding in. When I picked him up, they first brought out the wrong dog, and then when they did bring my dog out, he was greasy and filthy and his bedding reeked. I took him home, instantly bathed him and immediately the diarrhea and vomiting started. I've boarded my dog several times before since I adopted him two years ago and NEVER had any problems, but now I am on day 4 of super sick puppy and I am out $300 vet bills (and counting!) to figure out what happened to my dog while in their custody. When I called to complain, I was assured that the waiver I signed in order to drop him off excused them from all liability and essentially they were "sorry" I "had a bad experience," but that was pretty much it. \r \r I am sorry too. I'm sorry I believed the positive reviews. Do yourself a favor and keep your pets away from this place. more

Last summer I boarded my 13 year old 7-lb. dog here for approximately a week of overnights. After I picked her up I noticed her fur was flecked all over with dried paint. After several attempts I finally talked to the owner personally. Seems she had all the dogs outside in the gravel yard while having the side of the kennel painted with alkyd paint (a known carcinogen). She finally admitted my dog was rushed/pushed into the wet paint by a group of larger dogs. She said she didn't think it necessary to inform me because they had washed her repeatedly and got most of the paint off her fur. Finally, she said she wouldn't have boarded her own older dog at an open kennel. In other words, not being informed of the accident, and making the mistake of letting her take my money to board an elderly dog was my fault, not hers. I think you can figure out why I will never board here again. more

great facility and staff 4/12/2012

I have four little dogs who attend doggy day care at the OLD FARM on a regular basis. The staff are always friendly, caring, and take the time out to make sure my four dachshunds get the attention they need. This facility is family owned. Each time I go in I, too, feel like a part of their family. Thank you Old Farm, you're the best :) more

Great for all size dogs, and our cat too! 4/30/2011

The surface of this daycare is a little rough, it doesn't look like a posh puppy salon. It instead, is a dog smelling, dog friendly atmosphere. But don't let the grassroots feel scare you away: this is a very professional business. They are always quick to respond to calls, they stay on top of vaccinations, they are friendly, and take great care of our animals. We love that our lab has plenty of room to run around during the summer with water and shade, and a warm heated barn for the winter. We also love that our fussy dachshund gets to play queen of the little dogs in their own play area, where she won't get stepped on by big pups. Even our cat gets to hang out inside with the staff, and enjoy a play date with our little dog for some great family time. If you want your dogs to be able to sleep at night, and play all day like a normal animal, instead of putting them in those bright sardine can 'salons' this is the place for you puppy. more

Disappointed 4/11/2011

The review says ?Larger or aggressive breeds need to pass a social evaluation test?. If you have a ?pure bred pit bull? they won?t even do a social evaluation test. This weekend I tried to board my dog here but because he is a ?pure bred pit bull? they wouldn?t board him and turned me down even before they even met him. Good thing there are other boarding facilities in the valley that understand the bully breed and will gladly board them. more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 3/18/2011

We have been taking our English Bulldog there for almost a year. The staff is incredible and extremely friendly and so excited everytime we take our dog in. They treat her and take care of her like she was the only dog there. The staff loves what they do and take great care and love for all the animals at the facility. Our schedule is always changing so they are very accomodating and great to work with. We trust them with our dog and would not take her anywhere else. more

Great Place!!! 11/17/2009

We boarded our two Great Dane mixes at Old Farm Pet R esort as we did not want them locked up in a kennel the majority of time during the day only to be let out a short time during the day as we were going to be gone over a week. The interaction with the other dogs was fantastic. Our older Great Dane mix is shy and staff were wonderful with him. They said after a couple of days he warmed right up to them. Our puppy (9 mos) had a great time playing with the other dogs and being allowed to run around the securely fenced play yard while being supervised by staff the entire time. The ""boys"" sleep together so they were given a kennel that opened to another kennel so they could maintain their sleep pattern and be less stressed. The ""boys"" came home and slept for two days as they had played so much at Old Farm. I would HIGHLY recommend Old Farm Pet Resort to anyone who needs to board their dogs but don't want them locked up all day in a kennel. Pros: Staff, Facilities, Price Cons: Parking more

Incredible facility! Recommend to anyone. 9/11/2009

I have used many boarding facilities, and Old Farm is by far the best I have found! My dogs spent 3 weeks there last summer while I was in Europe, and they almost seemed disappointed to leave. I travel frequently, and the friendly staff at Old Farm has always accommodated my hectic schedule. My dogs love the open, outdoor area and I appreciate that they are able to sleep in the same kennel. I use Old Farm for overnight trips and long vacations because my babies are happy, well-exercised and attended to while they stay at this resort. You can tell that the staff really cares about the animals. Each dog is treated like a family member, and that is what I love about this kennel. It feels like dropping off your dogs with a family member who loves them as much as I do. Pros: Friendly staff, open spaces, nice hours more

Awesome Facility 9/9/2009

6 months ago I adopted my dog Minne from the Old Farm Pet Resort and I have had nothing but a wonderful experience from the very first day. Minnie & I love to go visit all the staff that took such good care of her for a very long period of time. The staff is incredible and always looking out for the well being of your pets. This is such a wonderul place, it's exceptionally clean & there are lots of play areas for both big and small dogs. This is the best facility in town for your pets. Pros: Clean, Great Staff, Large Play Areas, Very Knowledgable more

My Little Dog Loves Old Farm 8/20/2009

My Little dog Khanner has been a student at Old Farm Pet Resort for about two years now. Before I took him there I walked in unannounced and asked for a tour. I was surprised at how clean the facility was, considering the clientelle! It was immaculate. When we started at Old Farm my little dog was a psycho barking dog and a total nut cake. It was me or the dog. At Old Farm he became socialized, calm and a wonderful little love dog. The staff are kind to him and he loves his little doggie friends. He plays on the toys, likes to surveille the yard from atop a play table under a canopy and jumps into the pool. It's a great environment for my little friend. Pros: Clean and great staff. more

Don't be fooled 7/21/2009

When I took a tour of the ""resort"", I found that there was very little area that the dogs could lay down on that was comfortable. The majority of the yards consist of gravel and rocks. My dog came home limping because of the rocks hurting her feet. Would it be too big a price to pay to put in some grass, or some sort of ground cover for the dogs to walk on, along with fences that aren't made out of sharp metal chain link fences? If they cared at all about the dogs rather than profits, they would make sure the dogs would have the best possible living conditions. Personally, I recommend taking your dog to Willowcreek Pet Center or another pet care place that is accredited by both the American Animal Hospital Association and American Boarding Kennel Association. I wouldn't ever recommend this ""resort"" unless you really don't care if your pet is comfortable and safe. Pros: Nice staff Cons: Not clean, very little shade for dogs, injuries more

Old dog, young again 8/13/2008

I recently started taking my dog to Old Farm Pet Resort, after she had spent two years somewhere else, and she has become a different dog. When I used to pick her she was tired from laying around and being kept behind the counter, now when I pick her up she is like a puppy again, even if she is 10 years old, she is spending time with all breeds of dogs and developing new friendships, and she is excited to let me know she had a fun time. She is eating better and alot more capable of being around other dogs and human beings. I highly recommend this facility for day care and boarding Pros: Friendly employees Cons: Parking more

Best Boarders EVER!!!! They are AWESOME! 5/2/2008

I had to leave my two cats with them for a month, and they took excellent care of them. The place is squeaky clean, the staff is super polite, and they were fed and taken care of very well. They even put up with my neurotic phone calls every day to check on my beloved critters. If you have to leave them somewhere, this place is well worth it. Pros: Reasonably priced, great staff, very clean more

Best Doggy Day Care in SLC 1/18/2008

I highly recommend this place because of the people. My little dog loved staying at Old Farm Resort. What differentiates this place from others, is that the people REALLY care about the animals. My little furry boy stayed with them for years, when I work during the day. The little guy, in the last six months, struggled with serious health problems, and between vet trips, I actually had to keep working. I was able to leave my boy with Old Farm knowing they cared deeply about him, and watched him closely. They called me whenever they were worried, and kept him in front in the office to watch him. They really loved him, and I could tell. Let me tell you that when my little guy finally died in my arms, after calling my mom, the first people I called were the people at Old Farm Pet Resort, because I knew how much they loved my little dog. They literally cried with me. When I went back to work on Monday, there waiting for me was a bouquet of flowers, where, from my good friends at Old Farm. THEY understand... how close we get to these little furry people. I highly recommend Old Farm Pet Resort. Pros: Caring, fun for your dog, responsive more
