NOVO Salon

If you want hair done great, you have to go and check out Novo! Excellent consultation and fantastic results. My chin-length, wavy hair that frizzes terribly has been transformed into straight, extremely smooth something. The trick was done with Keratin Complex treatment and a couple hours of amazing work by the stylist. This was topped off with a vibrant, fantastic color job! Gals and guys, go treat yourself at Novo. Get yourself a drink from Full City Coffee next door and sit down at Novo for some pampering. The salon has an upscale, hip atmosphere. I have been living in Eugene for two years now and have yet to find a great hair dresser. After going on line and viewing the novo website, i figured from what I gathered I would be in great hands..based on the appearance of the website and the employee discriptions. I have had a hard time finding someone who will listen long enough to get a COMPLETE idea of what I am looking for as well as treating me like a person and not a dollar bill. I had a appointment with Loni that day and once i sat in her chair I could tell right off the bat she was not focused on my hair. My gutt told me run, but I decided to give it a chance. she went and got the foil along with the color and began applying. After the second piece of foil, she said she needed to go to the bathroom. She was gone for nearly ten minutes, the girls in the salon also headed to the back room. Minutes go by and I started to panic. her and a stylist by the name of chelsie come back and stated Loni could not do my hair because of her anxiety and reaction to caffine.....so chelsey would take over. I agreed, with a large amount of hesitation. My hair is bright blonde at this point..I tell her i want a vibrant, lighter blonde (golden blonde). Nothing bland. After she finished, the color was a tad off. I figured that with a few days of wash it would come off as a great color, (although it was bland and almost like i colored it myself). I go to the counter to pay, $130.00. You can imagine i am feeling a WTF moment. I pay and walk out the door...go home and look in the mirror. ""awesome."" i call and ask if there is a way i can get a refund. I ask for a refund, the girl says she can do that, but she needs to call her boss....she calls me back the next day around noon and says no, she will not refund me. not even a partail. she felt as though she did a great job, but she wasn't the one who got her hair done or recieved the uncomfortable bizzar service. I did. It is easy for a hair dresser to say they are great but until they have an experience like i did and understand and listen, they will never be able to correct their mistakes and grow as a hair dresser. it is people like this who should not be hair dressers because they can not listen. I am not bashing all of the women at this salon, but I can tell you that their are good ones and there are bad ones. Make sure you are referred to this salon by someone who knows what they are talking about because you could end up jipped 130.00 dollars for a color which looks like you bought from safe way. more

I've been going to Sarah for years and recently received a call from the salon that she no longer works there. I asked where she was and they said ""they didn't know"" and told me someone else could do it who would be just as good, a ""lateral"" movement, as it were, to someone else.. I find that statement sickening. Does anyone know where she went?! I'm desperate and pissed. NO ONE IS TOUCHING MY HAIR I tried finding her on facebook, but don't know her last name and couldn't find a trace of her online. We will find you Sarah b If anyone knows where she is, please let me know. I don't trust anyone else. more

Just can't pass up the opportunity to let everyone know they should make an appointment to be pampered and get the best cut and color by Denise at Novo Salon. I love her ability to listen to me and work to find what feels right for me and will look great when I walk out the door. I tend to hold my breath when I try someone new, but Denise and I hit it off right away. She is attentive, funny, and oh-so-talented. I will keep going back for more. I really appreciate her willingness to always look at my hair with new eyes every time I walk through the door. She has also won rave reviews with my two teenage sons when she cuts their hair as well. (One of them has very specific expectations when he has his hair colored and she certainly makes him happy every time, too.) The salon environment is very welcoming, comfortable and fun. Everyone who works here seems to enjoy each other a lot and that helps to make the experience very relaxing. If you are looking for a new place to try a new hair stylist, I highly recommend calling Novo Salon and scheduling with Denise today! more

I moved just down the street from Novo a couple years ago, so I wandered in one day when I needed a haircut. I'm glad I did! Stephanie has been cutting my hair ever since. She's attentive, a total sweetheart, and every time I walk out thrilled with my haircuts. I get compliments all the time, and I always recommend my friends to her. Plus, she patiently listens to me complain about guys :) She's the best! I have to add - the salon atmosphere is awesome, too. Everyone is friendly, laid-back, and you just get the sense that they're all great friends. Highly recommended. more

I've lived in Eugene for almost ten years now and have been to many salons around town. I've only been going to Stefani at Novo Salon for a little over a year now, however she is hands down the best hair stylist I've found in town since I've lived here. A huge problem that I have found with hair stylist is that they don't listen to their clients. When I say I want a trim, I mean I want just that...not 6 inches cut off. And when I go to someone and ask them to go from black to blond, I expect them to give me their best judgment as to how we can do that without my hair falling out. I feel like that is one of Stefani's best qualities. She listens to what you want and does the best job possible to make sure that happens. Every time I have left that salon, I have always had a better hair cut/color than I expected. Stefani is fantastic at what she does and I will never see another stylist again. On top of Stefani being amazing, the whole salon experience is awesome. Everyone that works there is equally as awesome at their jobs as Stefani and also super friendly to everyone that walks into the door. It is a very friendly and comfortable environment and my experiences there have always been pleasant and fun. I've never left their unhappy at all. I highly recommend Stefani and everyone else at Novo to anyone looking for a new salon!!!! more

Denise and NOVO Salon are wonderful!!! Love the color, Love the cut ! Love the atmosphere ! It's almost like I've known Denise for years and she knew what I wanted for my hair more than I did. Weird ! The blend of personalities at this salon really clicks! Everyone was having fun and kidding around. I especially liked Denise, although a bit of a DIVA.... but, what else would you expect from a hairstylist? I am already looking forward to my next appointment to experience this all again. I had my hair colored by Stefanie 11 days ago. I was going to just consider my poor experience as water under the bridge, but that would be a disservice to the potential clients reading these reviews. I thought that Stefanie and I were in agreement before we started. We were going to do an all over dark blonde with blonde highlights on the front, sides and top. The dark blonde turned out too red and the blonde highlights are over processed and look like straw. She went in the back 3 different times to mix color. The last time she mixed color for the back of my hair, I feel as though she forgot what the plan was because the bottom layers of my hair turned out dark cherry red! This red is still bleeding off onto my light colored shirts and nightgowns. I have never experience this before and I have been professionally coloring my hair for 40 years! My hair looks like I did it myself instead of a professional coloring. I paid $160 for this mess. I have never had anyone weave my color the way she did. She put color on some of my hair and wrapped it in foil and put me under the dryer, then she colored the rest of my hair and wrapped it in foil and then went in the back and came out with this horrible red (I didn?t know that at the time)and put it on the back of my hair and under the dryer I went again! I was in her chair or the dryer for 2 hours. My back was hurting and I was getting antsy. The cut took about 10 minutes and wasn?t bad, but not great either. I knew that my color wasn?t what we agreed on, but I just wanted out of there. It was when I got home that I noticed the lower back of my hair was dark red. I like to wear my hair up, but it looks too ridiculous to do that now. I sincerely hope Stefanie was just having a bad day, but I am sorry that I was the one who paid for it. more

and I still love it. When I had the color done last month we both thought it was a bit dark, but I got nothing but rave comments from coworkers and family on both the color and condition so we decided to bow to the masses and stay with the color as is. Yesterday and today I have had people stopping me, turning me around, everything but petting me (if they try that I'm running) and exclaiming over and over how pretty the color is, how well it works with my eyes, and how smooth and shiny my hair looks in general (they also love the jagged-cut bangs!). I'm just hoping my next appt. isn't too far away! more

I've been going to see Denise for awhile. I'm currently sporting the best haircut I've ever had. Her attention to detail and extra touches really made the experience a fun one! Her amazing attitude makes the experience memorable. You will always leave feeling revived, refreshed and recharged. I have never left without a smile on my face. This in itself is the novo way and it is what Denise provides every time. I definitely recommend this place for any guy who wants a sharp-looking haircut and a pleasant experience. ok so I know people leave reviews and say whatever, but listen up! Tully is the MOST personable person I have ever met! He did exactly what I asked... He listened to what I wanted, and he gave me the best hair cut of my life. I wanted something sexy for the color and I told him to do whatever he thought that was. Let's just say... I got sexy and he served me wine! When I left I felt like we've been friends for years. He's so awesome. Pros: He is the best haircut color I've ever had!!! Cons: He's gay! Hollie, one of the hair stylists at Novo Salon, is a FABULOUS hair stlyist and I highly recommend her. From her detail to cutting hair and knowledge in coloring/weaving, to her awesome personality ... it is ALWAYS joy to sit in her chair and let her WORK HER MAGIC. I always leave feeling SIMPY BEAUTIFUL, HAPPY, CHEERFUL, and SO ready to come back again. In addition, ALL the staff at Novo are friendly and fun. It is a PLEASURE to be there!! more

I really enjoy going to Novo to have my hair cut by Holly. Holly is the best. I have finally found some one that understands how to cut my hair. Redheads can be difficult to cut. I followed her from a different salon because I trust her with my hair. Holly is so friendly and personable. Every time I go in there to have my hair done or pick up product, I feel like I'm going to visit some friends that happen to cut hair and sell product. I look forward to every visit.
