You get what you pay for! We thought Newport at Campeche was bad pre-hurricane IKE .. the way management and the corporatate offfice handled the property clean-up after IKE had the remaining residents calling the city daily to complain about the lack of clean-up efforts, the unsanitary and unsafe conditions .. two months after the hurricane signs of debris & trash removal were still not seen! Before the hurricane we were lucky if the pool wasn't the same color as the lake, NEVER think you can use the on-site laundry facility .. the dumpster is usually cleaner! High speed internet in the business center? Yeah, right! and there's no printer! Check out everything if you think you want to live here! The apartments may look good at first sight, but the signs of competent contractos & cheap labor begin to SHOW fast .. !! I can't begin to describe the incompetencies of the management here .. and those above them. If something needs to be repaired, you better hope it's a band-aid fixable item, if it costs the property money, it will NEVER get done .. we had a friend go without a/c for one month during JULY .. she lives on the 3rd floor and has a heart condition! No lie! Really, if you come here .. take a real good look around .. even if you don't plan to use the laundry room or other things they supposedly have for your convenience here .. ask to see it .. try it out .. chances are .. they don't have it .. and if they do .. it doesn't work!
