I went to Autumn Court with a few friends last week and was a little disapointed with the food. It was good but took a really long time. The waiter made up for the wait when he suggested this new sake they had. They made a really great tyku and gingerale cocktail for me and my friends. we had three by the time we got our meals. long story short.. the cocktails make up for the wait. My boyfriend and I decided to eat here Christmas night. I had called Jade Palace in Scottsdale (both locations) only to find the wait for a table was around an hour at either one. We arrived at Autumn Court around 5:45 pm. and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was very intimate, warm and cozy-- perfect for a cold December night. Went for a quiet evening for two and ended up with a scary experience. New waitress being trained was trying very hard but beyond that it was not appealing. Edamame (hard to mess up) was not edible and somehow slimy. Sushi was okay but not worth naming as being made by a famous chef as the sign out front notates. When we got our main dish the 3 meat (chicken, steak, shrimp) dish it was less than mediocre. Even though we ordered brown rice they brought white, no big deal, but when we asked for brown the odd man serving our dinner said it would be a few minutes. He then went and put some brown rice in a ""to-go"" container and heated in the microwave (which is in plain view) for 5 minutes before bringing it back, at which point we had finished our meal.
