Management doesn't seem very tolerate of 2 year old. 12/31/2007

My 2 year old wandered into the arts and crafts center and they refused to give him a sheet of paper to draw on even though the place had only had two children doing projects and the crayons were on the table. He waited patiently at the table for about 15 minutes waiting for the paper. They rudely suggested we go to the preschool place but I was with my husband and 8 year old on that floor. I guess the art and crafts center is a profit center for them that would be ruined by a 2 year old drawing for 1 minute. I had to call down two supervisors to get some paper. I supposed they wanted to see a sceaming two year old rather than the very mad member. I don't really know what to say. Common sense isn't very common. I doubt they changed the rules. They like there rules there. more

Fun place to take your kids 1/13/2006

What kids don't love to watch their hair stand up when they touch a glowing sphere? Then why not bring your kids to the New York Hall of Science? It's a great place where lots of fun exhibits allow your kids to learn about science while having a good time. It's win win! The only problem is that it's a little out of the way located in Queens, but make it a day trip and catch a Mets game on the way home! more

Hands-on Science Education 8/17/2005

You couldn't ask for a science museum that was more fun and educational for children of all ages. The many exhibits cover all areas of science and are constantly being updated to include current scientific knowledge. They recently expanded and the new wing includes exhibits on the Science of Sports, Connections, and The Search for Life Beyond Earth. Explainers roam the floor to help explain the science and make your exhibit more enjoyable. My favorite is the outdoor science playground. I took my Kindergarten students here and they loved it! They can't wait to go back. more

Not a lot to do 6/24/2005

The New York Hall of Science is located in Queens. The staff was very nice and helpful because we had a problem with a pass we had and they straightened it out for us. They have 2 floors and a lot of it consists of exhibits on atoms and molecules. For children and science enthusiasts they would probably love it. As for me, I would have liked to see more. more
