New India Bazar SERIOULY sucks 11/12/2013

Giving it ONE RATING as the system didn't allow me to give a rating BELOW ONE.The Lady in that store is a CHEATER. She conveniently adds extra items on top of the items you bought and bills you for items that you didn't even buy.TERRIBLE. Folks please look at your bill and check if she hasn't added some extra items and made you pay for them. She is clever and adds in extra 2-3$ which you may not notice. She makes 2-3$ from every person who buys a lot from her. This way she thinks know one will CATCH here.Once I bought SELF RAISING FLOUR (MAIDA)and later found it was named Maida but actually had RICE FLOUR. She sells Indian Pooja items that is used for GOD at ridiculously HIGH prices. What she does, is that she conveniently doesn't put the price of the item on small packets of KumKum or small other items and when you finally take the items to her she would say a ridiculously high price. That store sucks and she ...... I wish the store a WONDERFUL future ahead!!!! more

Good for the location 9/26/2005

Being next to the Sunnyvale temple, its very conveniently situated. The size is pretty good and we can take shopping carts inside the store. They offer mostly all the famous brands and pretty much most of the daily used items. I didn't really like the vegetables/fruits there. If u go over the weekend u get fresh vegetables.. Weekdays the collection is really stale. Recently they have started DVD rental as well.. more

Good selection 9/23/2005

This store is just next to Sunnyvale Temple. This store ok in size and u can take carts inside. Though they only have very few carts. Now they have also started DVD rentals for just 1 dollar. Isn't it cool. U can visit temple, do all ur groceries and now also get ur dvd rentals all form one location. more

Really like the variety and prices 8/5/2005

They have different stores in Santa Clara, Milpitas, etc, but none in Fremont (they are working on it) I used to visit them in santa clara when i lived there. They have great selection of indian products. Frozen vegetables, ready to eat foods, indian vegetables, spices, rice, atta (flour) and much more. They also sell an array of fresh snacks like samosa, tikki, dhokla, idli etc. They also carry kitchen utensils and seasonal items like rakhi, diyas etc. The staff is friendly and helpfull. and the isles are neatly organized. I visited them after an interval of one year last week and the staff recognized me. What a memory. more

Average store 8/3/2005

New India Bazaar is located near Sunnyvale Hindu Temple. I have been there couple of time...they many time has sale going on chats. Vegetables are fresh. Store is crowded and is little less organize. Overall the store is good but as I said they have to organize the store. One difficult thing about visiting the store is parking, they have very limited parking space and most of the time i have gone there I have never got the place to park. more
