Worst Mani/Pedi Ever 3/28/2012

This was the WORST manicure and pedicure experience my husband and I have ever had! Horrible business ethics. We had a coupon for an $8.99 pedi and $15.99 mani/pedi. First off they barely clipped my nails, kind of filed them, and didn't bother with my cuticles or hangnails. My manicurist said I had callouses but refused to touch them unless I paid an extra $10.00 for removal. All other salons include all the ""extra"" services this one doesn't. While receiving my ""relaxing"" mani/pedi I was constantly hounded to get a massage, or add a flower, or whatever and they didn't take no for an answer. Finally my husband gave in and got a foot massage; 10 mins for $10.00. The manicurist got out a timer and placed it in front of her. The massage was weak and effortless. After rubbing his feet she then proceeded to rub his legs without lotion and latex gloves on. The experience was more painful than enjoyable to say the least. Imagine getting your legs waxed....same feeling. After the 10 mins was up an alarm went off that was so loud it sounded like a school bell. The entire 20 mins we were at the salon the staff were speaking in Vietnamese to one another and talking about us because they felt we were a waste of their time. We felt this from the start when we walked in with a coupon. The quality of our mani/pedis were very poor. They were in such a rush to paint my nails that my manicurist didn't give enough time in between coats of polish to dry. The polish started to bubble and was unevenly applied. My husbands mother went to the Nail Citi not too long ago and also had a horrible experience. She paid for her mani/pedi with a credit card but decided to pay tip with cash she had in her car. She told her manicurist this and that she would be back. The manicurist, not being able to speak English well along with all the other staff, chased after her yelling and pointing, ""No Tip, No Tip!"" This was to make a scene and warn other staff that she is a cheap client and not to serve her in the future. My girlfriend went to Citi Nails before a wedding and also will never go back due to poor service and quality. more

Awful attitude and service 11/13/2008

I received a $50 birthday gift certificate to this place. I walked in, and sure enough all smiles. They tried to up-sell me the flower decals on toes, sea salt cuticle scrub etc. I told them a basic mani/pedi for today pls. Yes, they did speak in their own language. unfortunately for them i am also FLUENT in same language. What ignorance!! They had no idea I was of the same nationality(!) In between their smiles, they blatantly cursed me aloud to one another for not buying into their up-sells and commented on every customer in the salon (it was awful!). I was so disgusted i couldn't even tell them I spoke the same language. Based on their comments, the workers in this salon are (poorly educated and a huge ""embarrassment"" to our culture). Needless to say, i offered the rest of my certificate as a 'tip' to the one gentleman who never spoke. These ppl at this particular salon are mean-spirited. Cons: the purpose is to get your nails done, not be outright insulted more
