The best family theater in St. Louis 10/20/2005

Where else on Earth can you find Broadway shows filled with childern happily munching on their popcorn? Take the opportunity to see things like Peter Pan and The Sound of Music in a beautiful outdoor theater this summer. more

America's Largest and Oldest Outdoor Musical Theatre 8/19/2005

The Muny is one of St. Louis's finest theaters indoor or out. The performances are generally excellent. It would have to be for people to sit through the performances often in the hot summer heat of St Louis with only 2 gigantic (and somewhat dangerous looking) fans providing breeze. The good thing about The Muny is that they have free first come first serve seating in the last few rows open to the public. The downside is that you pretty much need to bring your own binoculars to see much detail sitting way back. more

Fun way to introduce theater 8/15/2005

I have spent many summer evenings with a packed lunch in the free seats at the Muny. Many classic shows come through and it is always a great night out. There are a couple of pitfalls: it can get really hot and for the free seats you have to get there very early for a decent seat. There are many seats that you can buy tickets to; it's not a free for all. I applaud the Muny for giving children performers the chance to be seen, but could live without them in the performances. Overall a great experience. more

Great shows 8/13/2005

This is one of St. Louis' treasures I would recommend everyone go. It is situated in the beautiful Forest Park. They have a wide variety of shows in the summer . The only downside is that it's outdoors . The seats are not at all expensive. U can even get free seating/tickets if u go in after a certain time. more

THIS IS A GREAT ST.LOUIS PAST TIME 8/12/2005

If there one thing that as a child I remember it is the MUNY it is soo much fun. I think back and how neat it is that in Forest park there is a out door theater. It offers so many different musicals in the summer months. you can eat right by there and prices are great don't miss out a lifetime of memories more

The Muny 8/4/2005

The Muny in Forest Park is a great way to spend a summer evening. For a reasonable price (even free, if you want to sit in the free seats in the back) you'll be treated to live theater performance of top shows. I've never been to a bad show at the Muny. No matter how hot and humid the weather may end up being, the casts always seem to be enthusiastic, well prepared and very talented. Summertime in St. Louis would not be the same without the wonderful Muny Opera. I highly recommend going to one show or the entire season. more

Oh What a Night! 8/1/2005

Going to the Muny is always such a nice experience. We have sat in the free seats...way in the back...and in good seats right up front. Both shows were great. Any seat is agood seat. Even if the weather is a little muggy the huge fans help creatw a nice little breeze. Every performance I have seen here has been spectacular. more

Great place to see a show 7/29/2005

Oh my gosh this place is beautiful inside and out. My husband got us tickets to see a show and it was my first time here. We seen a comedian that was just so funny. It was so nice the outside of the building is so beautiful statues everywhere, then you go in and it is all decorated the ceiling is done in all colors and the walls they have statues everywhere and art work everywhere the walls were made up with etchings it is so amazing i sat there and looked at everything for so long it is so beautiful plus they have great shows at reasonable prices, the only down side is the actual show is outside so in this hot summer weather it is hard to stay cool, but it is a neat place to visit and very cheap prices. more

WOW you have to experience it 7/22/2005

My Husband whined when we got tickets but even he had a great time. This is one of St. Louis' treasures I would recommend everyone go at least once. They have a wide variety of shows in the summer something that will appeal to everyone. The only downside is you may have to deal with typical St. Louis heat and humidity but I would still go. The seats are not at all expensive. more
