This whole place creeps me out; management, maintenance, even the residents! Practically everyone residing there is on social security, you’ll feel bad for even spending your hard-working money for this over-priced slum-house. The floor plans are horrible. I feel like a prisoner living in these “apartments.” There is no sunlight; I have to turn on the kitchen light at 8 in the morning to get any light. There is only one window in the whole apartment and it’s in the bedroom, and guess what? It faces the patio which has no view at all; the patio area contains a large brick wall. I don’t even want to go out into my own patio. Everyone knows your business (including the maintenance!) whether you ask Judy the leasing manager to keep it confidential. All they do is go on Facebook and talk about people in the office. Even when “trying” to pay rent, I have to wait till their done laughing till I get any attention; the service is poor! Anytime I want to pay rent or just ask a personal question, everyone on the whole block is in the office, it looks like a block party inside and outside the office. Everyone knows your business one time I ask a personal question and only a few people were in the office at that time, so I thought what harm is there, one of the people in the office had the nerve to get into my conversation I was having with the leasing manager. I politely asked if they worked there, and come to find out they were a resident just like me. They have so many new assistant leasing consultants quitting because they don’t like the whole weird vibe of this community. They will smile in your face then talk stuff behind you. One nice girl quit because they gossiped too much about her personal business, she couldn’t take it any longer. She had heart for leaving a job in this economy. Or it must have been severe. This place is a shopping cart community paradise! I've never heard so many shopping carts in the middle of the night I hear almost every night. I felt as though I live in the grocery store. It’s ridiculous!! I even wake up to hearing it at 3am. Laundry is a hassle one has to take a hike just to get to the laundry facility and you must load your card with $10 or more! You must wait until the office is open to load your card. How inconvenient is that? The only….should I say “good” thing about this place is that air and heat is free but the management controls when they will shut the air and heat off leaving people cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Mountain Gate covers the electricity that is why lights stay on the whole time, only the ones dumb enough will pay for electricity. A previous resident who was a young college student was pleased, explaining how he never paid an electric bill there ever. But then they want the ones who don't know to pay. These apartments are overpriced for what one has to go through emotionally and physically. Even previous people mentioned that the manager Judy gets upset when the residents finally leave that she turns her back on them and make them pay weird fees you don't even owe. Don’t forget their motto: “Our Management Makes A Difference” It really does make a difference but Mountain Gate is the total opposite of their own saying. I look at that sign advertised on the street and just laugh at it, someone needs to take it down and burn it. There is so much more I haven’t covered, but who ever read this will get the picture. Do not ever consider living here!!!!
