Millers bar 2/9/2008

I actually saw them pick a piece of cheese up off the floor and put it on a burger. That is when I left. more

Outstanding burger with a slice of 50's Americana 12/19/2007

Ok - I can see why some people would think the place and the burgers are way over rated. Miller's has only a couple things on the menue . The place itself is not much to look at either. However whenever i'm nearby i've gotta stop in. i've only had the burgers and for me the burgers are outstanding - I'd rate their burger in the Top Ten from around the country. They are simple - no oversized bun or chilli or any wild assortment of toppings. You can get it with cheese or just straight. It comes on wax paper. You get a tray with pickles, mustard, catsup and a slice of onion. That is it. I love the burger due to its simple clean taste. And you get it cooked exactly the way u like. Say rare - and expect it to be dripping. In a time when food establishments are all competing to out do one another - Millers remains the same - decade in and decade out. And i dare say, that is what throws people off. Miller's is from another time, when you'd get off work and have a beer and a burger before heading home. Its a kick-back setting and it can take a little getting accustomed to. So don't be so quick to write it off. There is a reason why generations of family's keep coming back. Give it a chance and try it a second or third time if it didn't initally click for you. At some point it'll work for you and see the place for the gem it really is. more

Not so much! 12/3/2007

Who are the people who gives this place rave reviews? This place is a dive at best and a scam at worse. I wish we had read the negative reviews before we drove 60 some miles, one way, to get there. We saw the Detroit and GQ reviews and thought we would give it a try even though we don't go to Bar's. You can get a better Burger at Culver's by ordering their Low-Carb Burger (no bun). Don't waste your time! We were definitely underwhelmed. My homemade Burgers are way better than this. Pros: Parking was OK Cons: Not what we expected more

Simple Eating 8/18/2007

Great greasy burger joint. No menus, plates, checks, all of the fancy hamburger toppings. if you like it brainless and simple come here. The burgers are fulfilling, flavorful and very juicy and if you like it medium rare you are going to get it as medium rare as it comes. more

Don't forget the Onion Rings 8/9/2007

My other fav at Miller's is their onion rings. Real slices of onion, not bits of onion in a ring shapped batter. And the batter doesn't always cover the rings. Cons: Parking is difficult at high volume times more

Keeping it simple 8/2/2007

When I walked in the doors of Miller's, I didn't really know what to expect. I had been told how great their burgers were, but wasn't aware of the atmosphere. What a great way to enjoy a burger! I thought it was great how it was just thrown on a peice of wax paper and put in front of me, not to mention, no waiting for a bill. Just go right up to the bartender and let him know what you had. If your looking for a glitzy place to take a date, this prob isn't the place. But if you want a throwback, meat and potatoes kinda joint, you now know where to go! Pros: Great food, old school approach more

Had much better 11/12/2006

Millers you can't get much there more

AMAZING BURGERS ....:) 11/9/2006

Amazing burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. Its worth the wait. Busy lunch and after work hours. Simple and great atmosphere. Took my friend from Chicago she loved it. Pros: Grilled cheese, burgers. Cons: busy at lunch more

Burgers melt in your mouth 6/22/2006

I live in Chicago now, but just reading these reviews make me hungry for a road trip to Dearborn for a Miller's cheeseburger and fries. These are hands-down the greatest burgers ever made in the history of the world. Pros: burgers, beer, cheap Cons: parking during rush hours, seating during rush hours, somewhat-cranky waitresses more

This is what a bar is supposed to be 5/11/2006

Best damn burgers you will EVER get in a bar. Impressed me to no end, I make a point to stop at Millers if I ever go back to Detroit. A true gem of a place. more

Absolutely best burgers 4/14/2006

I finally had the opportunity to check out Miller's burgers and can say that they lived up or perhaps exceeded all the hype. Perfectly cooked (med rare) with fresh bun. Not topped with a bunch of junk that hides what you're actually eating. Wonderful flavor! more

OUTSTANDING 3/3/2006

THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE I DRIVE FROM PITTSBURGH JUST FOR THE BURGERS. Pros: SERVICE, VALUE, HONOR SYSTEM Cons: LONG LINES more

Absolutely the Best Burgers!!! 2/24/2006

I'm 50 and have been eating these burgers since I was a kid. They are absolutely the Best Burgers. Three shells, two cheeseburgers, and onion rings or fries. Mmmm Mmmm. There known Nationwide for being the best burgers. And when my Mother in law said her father would bring her to Millers on horseback when she was a kid. I beleive that was back in the 30's. And they are just as good now as back then. Try em' you'll love em'. And you'll find you'll be coming back over and over. Pros: Best burgers, Honer system payment, Decent parking Cons: First come first serv, Wait in line seating, Crowded alot more

Best Cheeseburger there is. 1/23/2006

I grew up two miles from Millers and have been going there as long as I can remember. Now I live in Nashville TN and really miss being able to go there whenever I want. If you go there now please don't take it for granted. Whenever I come into town I always make Millers my first stop from the airport. If you don't like this place then you don't know what's good. Pros: Cheeseburgers, Fries, Onion Rings Cons: Service, Bottled water more

MILLER'S ARE THE BEST BURGER'S EVER 12/6/2005

This place is awesome. I crave them everytime I come to town. I have been coming here since I was 3 years old. They still have the honor system. It is worth the wait. It it was not, there would not be a line to wait in. If you don't like burgers, have screwdrivers and onion rings. My mouth is watering now Pros: BURGERS, HONOR SYSTEM more

The best the world around 11/11/2005

Now alot of people can say they have had a great burger however being a chef and haivng the talents to make a great burger I have to say Miller's is tops. I have lived all over but everytime I come home to Detroit there is only one place I must go that is Miller's. It is a clssic dive bar but it does not get any better when it comes to great burgers and great fries!!! LONG LIVE MILLER""S Pros: Burgers, Price, honor system more

Dont Get It 10/31/2005

Cant quite understand the draw of this place exactly! Burger was ok but nothing to write home about. Service was not that good either and parking a pain in the rump. more

The BEST Burger Anywhere.. 9/14/2005

My Uncle Bob took me to Miller's in 1979. I have travelled the world since, and have NEVER found a better burger. Period. If you want to trluy enjoy life, go for a late lunch on Friday afternoon with your best friend, have 2 burgers, fries and several Miller's on draft. Pay at the bar on the honor system, leave a generous cash tip and go home for a nap. That's easy livin.. more

Best Burger Ever 9/9/2005

I've had burgers all over the country. I make it a point to sample locally-acclaimed burger joints whenever I travel. In short, I'm a burger connoisseur. By far the best burger I've had -- anywhere -- is Miller's. Hands down. For those reviewers who complained about the service: it's a blue collar joint, in a blue collar town, staffed with blue collar waitresses. What were you expecting -- curtseys? And did the gruff service somehow magically drain the flavor out of the burger? Gimme a break. more

#1 burger??? nooooooo 8/8/2005

I was really tempted by the GQ magazine article that rated miller's burger the #8 burger in the nation. I have to say i was very dissapointed. The burger was nothing more than your average backyard burger served on wax paper in a sub-par/overcrouded dive bar. Other reviewers were correct when they talked about the waitress throwing the food on your table, and then dissapearing. Pros: location Cons: service, crowded, attitude more
