Michigans Adventure Park 1/4/2007

THis is a great small amusement park with a WONDERFUL water park. They don't have the largest roller coasters, but its a great place for the younger kids. The water park is amazing. I even had a great time and I'm an adult. Would definately go back to this place. Skip the long lines and tons of people at Cedar Point and go here. more

Michigan Adventure 8/21/2006

Good home town fun. I don't think people travel here from out of Michigan, but it's a great theme park in our own back yards. It's located in Muskegon, MI. It has some great roller coasters and water rides, plus the water park is included and makes a great break between roller coaster rides. I really enjoyed this park and I would honestly go here again before going to Cedar Point. While Cedar Point is an excellan park, MI Adventure is smaller and still plenty of park for a fun day. more

Michigan's Adventure- Fun for the whole Family! 8/8/2006

Michigan's Adventure is a small amusement park owned by Cedar Fair, located near Lake Michigan here in Michigan. The park is small, but packed with fun. It features 6 roller coasters, of which 3 are ridable by kids as small as 45" tall. I think they allow smaller kids, but that was our son's size when we went back in June. Aside from Roller Coasters, there are several kids rides, and a few aimed at older kids & adults. Overall, there were not many rides our son couldn't go on. In addition to the regular park, there is a fantastic water park, which is included in your admission to the park. The slogan is 2 parks for the price of 1. The price is a bit high for kids, as it's 1 price for everyone over the age of 2. I would love to see it drop to a lower rate for kids under a certain height. The park is VERY clean, however, and kept in tip top shape. Cedar Fair has put some money into upgrades for rides, and buildings. It's not the Deerpark Funland I remember it as when I was a child, but that's good. DPF was tiny, and had only a small handful of rides. Since Michigan's Adventure was bought out, they have added at least 1 roller coaster, several water slides, and a few regular rides. New this year was Grand Rapids- a white water rafting type ride which will soak some people in he boat. I got off relatively dry, which was nice, since we went on it late at night. The hours of the park are rather brief, as well. I would love to stay there much later in the day. The park only stays open until 9pm even on the latest of days. Cotton Candy is Cedar Fair's marketing ploy this year, with it only costing $.25! That's a great price for any snack, let alone a tasty one such as cotton candy. I know Cedar Point is doing the same thing, but I do not know if it's all of Cedar Fair's parks. Lines are often short, which is nice. If it happens to rain during your stay, ride it out if you can. Most of the park empties out during rain and ride shut downs. We held out for an hour, the rain disappeared, the sun was out, and the entire rest of the trip, we didn't wait in a single line. This is a good sized park for a 1 day visit. Park prices are roughly $25 per person, I believe, but we got in cheaper because our local radio station held a promotion- the tickets were $12 each was all, so all 4 of us got into the park for under $50! If you are ever out near Muskegon, Michigan in the summer, this is a wonderful stop to make. more

Nice family amusement park 12/28/2005

This is a great amusement park for children. They do have a couple roller coasters for everyone to enjoy as well. This is owned by the same company who owns Cedar Point in Ohio. If you purchase a season pass at Michigan's Adventure, it is also good at Cedar Point...and you'll save a fair amount of money too! It is fairly inexpensive for admission prices and more

Great Family Place! 11/9/2005

This is a great family place. It's an amusement park and water park in one and fun for the whole family. It's easy to get to, a family oriented place that you will have a ton of fun at. Prices are pretty resonable to get in, but you do have to pay for parking which is pretty high, along with food in the park. My suggestion is to take lunches with you to keep in a cooler in your vehicle to go out and eat at. The rides are fantastic and they have a GREAT water park with tons of rides for all ages. My children love the kid's pool which is geared towards young kids. Great place to visit! more

Great fun in the Sun 8/30/2005

Shivering Timbers is the absolute best rollercoaster in the Midwest! It is a wooden rollercoaster that is very fast, very long, and very tall. Michigan Adventure has other rides, but has a wonderful water park, with many water rides. The price is about $25.00 for all day fun. Michigan Adventure is owned by Cedar Point. Parking is steep at an additional $7.00. The hours are a little weird - they don't open until 11 a.m. more

It was okay... 8/25/2005

I went with my son on a field trip to Michigan's Adventure. I didn't think it was the greatest...just okay. It's pretty small and they had a LOT of people there (several schools). It wasn't warm enough to have the water park part open, so maybe that would have changed my opinion a little. I thought the prices were a bit high for what they were offering. It was fun to spend the day with my son, though. :o) more

Best Amusement Park 8/19/2005

If you are looking for a water park and an amusement park in one, Michigan Adventure is the place to go!! They are about 45 minutes from Grand Rapids. The ticket prices are great, especially because you get two parks for the price of one. Great for people with kids, they can ride most of the rides. more

Park 8/17/2005

This amusment park is to be one of the best in michigan. Well there isn't much competition around but the rides here are pretty good. If you like cedar point this is almost the same atmosphere but less wait and not that intense rides like millinuem force or dragster. You will enjoy this park with kids older then 10+ that are pretty tall so you can actually go on rides with you kids. more

Great Fun for the Whole Family! 8/17/2005

Michigan's Adventure is a great place to spend the day with your family. Not only do they have roller coasters and other rides, but there is also a water park attached. They have rides for young and old. The have many rides for kids from toddlers to ten year olds. They have a variety of food booths to choose from and if it is really hot take off to the water park side. Many times you can get coupons for discount tickets and I believe children under three are free! more

Fun place to take the kids! 8/17/2005

This is an amusement park, but it is also a water park. It's located not far from the Lake Michigan shores and is reasonably priced for a family outing. It's part of the same company that Cedar Point is part of. There is something for every family member.... thrill rides, kiddie rides, etc. more

Two Parks for the price of one 8/14/2005

In Muskegon Michigan there is a wonderful amusement park called Michigan's Adventure. It has sweet roller coasters coasters. In addition to the rollercoasters it is also connected to a water park. If you buy a ticket for the rides you also get to go to the water park. So you get to go to 2 parks for the price of 1. At the water park they have a sweet wave pool and tube rides which are really cool. If you are ever in the area its worth the money to take the family there. more

Family Fun 8/13/2005

There are plenty of rides here for everyone to enjoy. A new perk at the park is the waterpark. It has a great variety of attractions in it. A downside is that the park often becomes crowded, with excessive lines on many rides. The best deal in the park is the watermelon stand. One dollar for a twelve inch wide slice!!! more

Michigan's Adventure 8/7/2005

As some of you may know, Michigans Adventure was bought by the same makers of Cedar Point. The rides aren't nearly as big nor scary as Cedar Point, but they get the job done if you are close by. There are basically no lines at Michigan's Adventure like there are at Cedar Point. With the ride package you even get into the waterpark for free. It is 2 parks for the price of 1 as the commercials say. I would recommend this park for smaller kids because the rides aren't too scary like they are at Cedar Point or any other big theme park. Plus the kids won't get tired of waiting in lines all day. more

Michigan Adventures 7/25/2005

This amusement park is so totally awesome. It is a great place to take the family either on a vacation or for just a day of fun. This park has the best prices around for admission. This park offers a lot of stuff for a little price and not only is it an amusement park it is also a water park as well. I have taken my kids here before and we all had a great time. We will return again for another visit in the future. more

Great Park! 6/29/2005

2-in-1 Water and Amusement, this place is GREAT. It's only about $25 per ticket, and that's a deal (in my opinion) for both parks. I know that they at one time also included a small circus-type act there, and that was fun. They have the typical amusement park rides and they're great! more

Very well-rounded! 6/28/2005

Michigan's Adventure is not near as big as other amusement parks, such as Cedar Point, but the lines are shorter & you still can't complete all the amusement park rides & water rides/activities in one day! The admission is a fair value for what you receive. I love the water park the best. Their slogan really is true - Two parks for the price of one; Twice the fun! more
