This is one of the most giant amusement parks you've ever been to. They add a bigger and better roller coaster every year and last I knew, they had the world's highest and/or fastest roller coaster. You can literally spend days on the island. There are also several hotels (though not the nicest quality) as well as campsites on the island. Admission isn't cheap, but you will definitely get what you pay for. The lines can be long, but they do a great job of entertaining you with DJ's and sprinklers in the hot summer heat. There are several things to do indoors as well and a water park. Little children will love the Berenstein Bears forest. Lots to do and a lot of fun for the entire family!

This is a place where you literally go and paint a piece of pottery. It can be a plate, mug, vase, etc...there are a lot of pieces to choose from. Prices are based on the piece(s) you choose to paint. Go with a group of friends or take a young girl for a birthday party! Adults will have great fun as well! After you are finished painting you masterpiece (and they also have tons of paint and stamps to choose from) they will glaze and cook the pottery. It will be ready for you to pick up in a few days. Your piece(s) make a great gift as well!

I've never really been impressed with this salon. It is located inside the Marshall Fields store in the Rivertown Parkway mall. I have seen a lot of bad brow waxes come out of there as well as poor dye jobs. I wouldn't trust them to do those services. They seem to do decent cuts and trims, but anything above that is a little risky, in my opinion. The staff is always very nice, but I question their experience...

If you purchase a season pass at Michigan's Adventure, it is also good at Cedar Point...and you'll save a fair amount of money too! It is fairly inexpensive for admission prices and

The theater is appearing a bit rundown. It is still one of the best theaters in town though, b/c of their movie selections and times. They have 20 screens, which allows for a lot of movies and a lot of showtimes. The place is pretty big and they make some of the best popcorn in town! I wouldn't hesitate to go here, I just wish it looked nicer so it doesnt scare off any newcomers!

I love this video store! First of all...their rental prices are $1.00 per night...and you choose how many nights you want the video (or game). Also, if you are a frequent renter, they automatically give you a free rental after so many. (Very easy to accumulate). Their staff is so friendly as well. It seems like they always have what I'm looking for. If you need to call ahead and have a movie held, they will do that, as long as it's picked up within an hour. Their prices can't be beat and they have plenty selection.

This is a great college for the penny pincher. You can get just about all of your general education classes out of the way for a fraction of the cost at a major university. They offer a fantastic interior decorating program that easily transfers to Kendall College of Art and Design (also right downtown). The staff have life experience in the areas they teach. There are a lot of extracurricular activities as well and they have a gym and library along with many other amenities. Definitely worth checking out...you won't regret it.

This is one of those hole in the wall tiny shops that you're driving by and you think "That looks like kind of a cool little place!" So you go in. And you spend and hour in a space the size of your garage just oogling and awing over all the random finds! You are guaranteed to find some great accessories for your home, or to use as gifts and maybe for yourself too! I love going in this store and "getting lost" in it. There is so much stuff to look at, but it is organized in a homey way, and doesn't seem like a bunch of junk just tossed together. Great little shop to visit in the East Fulton Shopping District!

This is a store that has a lot of very casual cotton clothing and is for the purist at heart, as a lot of the clothing is from all natural fibers. It is a tiny shop, but is packed with tons of clothes. Not a lot of duplicates either. They carry a lot of accessories as well such as earrings, scarfs, shawls, etc. The staff is always very nice and can make nice recommendations. Beware, the fitting rooms are TINY!

This is a consignment store that caters to the teens. It is a fabulous place for parents who don't want to spend the money on designer clothes for the kids. They carry a lot of higher end clothes and have excellent prices. They are fairly picky about what they will take. The nice thing is that if you have clothes to drop off, they will give you a time to come back and they will pay you on the spot for your items that they will sell. It is packed with clothes and usually busy at any given time of the day. You are bound to at least find a couple items you like!
