Nolkey's is a small supermarket & gas station in Wellsville, KS. It's super convenient for the locals, instead of having to waste gas money to drive all the way to Overland Park or Kansas City. My cousins live just down the road from Nolkey's & we've bought nearly everything there. The prices are a tad bit higher, but nothing too remarkable. The balloons (helium inflated ones for celebrations) are nice quality, but in my opinion a little too pricey. My aunt bought them there for my cousin's birthday. Matches, cheese, Brach's candy...they carry what the typical supermarket carries only not as much variety and again, the prices are a little bit more. All of the cashier's I've ever had have been very friendly. In fact, last time I was there they had a set of identical twins (one working with the balloons & the other cashiering). They were both very outgoing & helpful. I definitely think Nolkey's is a great little convenient supermarket.

If you have ever visited the Grand Rapids Children's Musuem, chances are you fell in love. I know I did. I attended a birthday party of a child I babysat that was hosted here, but I had an absolute ball! My favorite were the warped mirrors. I always wondered what I would look like tall & skinny! I know that area schools will oftentimes go here after a dance. It's really that much fun. Highly recommended; go check it out.

This is the musuem that I grew up going to. The one where all the public schools had their yearly field trip. The carousel especially inside the building is noteworthy. All of the horses were handcarved so I hear. It's simply beautiful. If you have any children; definitely let them ride this (although I do believe it costs $1 fee). I can remember oohing & ahhing over it when I was younger.

This is a very large thrift store with more clothing than you would ever think imaginable. They tend to always have a ticket 50% off. Their stuffed animals are priced a little on the high side, but their picture frames & craft supplies are usually priced quite cheaply. I dont shop here often, but when I do I usually buy at least one thing.

My favorite part of the store is the aisle where there are a ton of little trinkets that are ideal for giftbags for parties. I also bought a calendar there six months ago for $5. They have a basement with childrens toys. Yarn, photo frames, game boards, stuffed animals, suncatchers you name it & they have it. If you were looking for a specific game, I would call ahead & be sure they had it before you visited though.

I'm not usually so passionate about a mere store, but this is NOT a mere store! If you are at all crafty you must see this store. I first heard about this store through my mom through her neighbor. Unfortunately, the neighbor took advantage of the store and would go and just use their free materials (die-cut machine & other machines that I have no idea what their names are!) and never bought anything. To be honest, I have no idea where she got that willpower! It's a crafter's paradise. Stamps & inks, paper, books, ribbon, yarn, and did I mention paper? I love this store and you will too.

Im not a very good bowler, but when I do go bowling I usually end up here at Spectrum Lanes. They have a lot of lanes so even when there are quite a few people bowling, you usually dont have to wait to get a lane. Like with all bowling alleys, the lanes will mess up and you will become frustrated and have to wait for a worker to fix it, but it has its perks too. Lots of bowling balls to choose from and some are very nice colors.

This is the only storage place I have ever used, so I do not know how it compares to others, but I was fairly happy with it. They were running a deal buy one month & get an additional month free. So for two months of storage it cost about $30 or so. Its really easy, and the 24/7 access is so nice. When youre moving and you want to clear some clutter so that it looks nice for open houses, storage facilities are your answer.
