AWESOME VET 10/3/2014

I have been taking my cats to Dr. McGuire for more than 10 years. She is very good with letting us know what the problem is what it will cost, and most of all she takes time to talk to us. I think that when a person takes on the responsibility of taking care of an animal the cost of keeping them healthy is part of the deal. So, my opinion is that Dr. McGuire is kind, compassionate and she cares about the animals and the owners. I give her 4 stars.. more

Unprofessional and ripe off 2/2/2012

I had work done to my dog and was told it would be a certain amount so I paid it. Then I get a bill in the mail for $60. When I called to ask about it they said the tech that wrote it up didn't add something on the bill so I owed that. They wouldn't admit it was their error and take it off. They wanted me to bring in the bill that said what they quoted me, even though they new what they had because they said they forgot to add it on. They were very rude and unprofessional. RIPE OFF!!!!! more

Dr. McGuire has been my dogs' vet for over a decade. She's always been very compassionate and knowledgeable in the treatment and care of my dogs. Since she does take time with each of her patients, she does get behind. However, due to her excellent care in treating my animals, the wait is worth it. more

Good vet for general inquiries 8/2/2005

When I first got my guinea pigs, I wanted to take them to the vet to make sure they were sexed correctly at the pet store (all I need is 5 million more guinea pigs) and that they didn't have fleas or any diseases. I ended up at Carolyn McGuire's. The vet was able to reassure me that I had indeed ended up with two females, and they were nice and healthy. As for actual problems...when I later had problems with their health, I was told to take them to a local vet hospital that specialized in exotics (several other vets told me the same thing) Overall, at least in my case, they were great for general health of my guinea pigs, but not able to help with problems. more
