Staff training needed ASAP 9/2/2013

I was a frequently shopper. Love the selections and price hate the employees. Staff needs customer service training. They are rude as they will run over u with a rack and push you out of the way while you are shopping to shelve items. Also the dressing room issues are ridiculous. Please Thrift store owner help your before you loose good customers. more

Very unfriendly employees, need better hours, restrooms 8/22/2011

The items they sell are great. I've been going there for years. This Sunday, however, I encountered something I never experienced before. I entered just after 6pm, knowing they closed at 7pm. I selected garments in several areas of the store, but was surprised at 6:30 to hear the announcement that the dressing rooms were closed. Surely this was a mistake? Nope. They not only were adamant about their being closed, they made no exceptions about opening them. They let me walk away from a large purchase because they have this insane attitude that the customer isn't right and that they'd rather put everything from my cart back on the racks instead of letting me try them on and buy them. They need retraining. They mark clothes fine, but they have no concept of how customer service should work. Or seem to understand that if they let people into the store at an hour before closing that those people should have full access not only to merchandise but to the fitting rooms. It makes sense. And if they want to close them a FEW minutes early (10 would be more reasonable) then make lots of announcements about it. How difficult is that? And while they're at it, this is an old Winn Dixie grocery store. I am certain it had public restrooms when it was a grocery. They need to make them available to customers. Otherwise, you can only shop as long as your bladder holds out. more

Experience 12/14/2010

I have been shopping here for many years and recommend it to many people. I have never noticed unfriendly employees. The clothing prices are fine. I buy clothing for my entire family. If I can't find what I want, it's just another excuse to come back. Thanks McCart Thrift for the nice buggies and new changing rooms. more

Good deals but no service! 10/28/2010

Wow. I see that I am not the only one that has noticed the very unfriendly employees. Other than that, yes you can get great deals here. It is a great place to go if you are looking for something in particular and want a vintage item. Some are priced a bit high but compared to the Goodwill in Burleson it is a GREAT deal. more

It has it's drawbacks 5/7/2010

For the most part I enjoy shopping here, but the comment about the unfriendly employees is spot on. The employees appear as if it would kill them to greet you or smile, very impersonal cashiers. The selection of items is good and they do have alot of name brand items. They don't have any worn or stained items for sale like Goodwill or Salvation Army, but they charge a little more and it's worth it. Great place to buy kids clothes! more

Indiffernt Employees 5/25/2008

I used to shop at this store alot, but I got fed up with the indifferent, unfriendly employees. Would it hurt them to smile or actually be cordial to their customers every now and then??? The rooms to try on clothes in are pretty scary also!! more

averge thift store 8/19/2005

This thrift store is pretty cool. I have found some really cool things here. They have a lot of name brands which are more expensive than the others. They are usually pretty nice inside. I usually find something but sometimes i dont. I go here usually when i know i have plenty of time to look at everything. more

Lots of stuff! 8/12/2005

As a few other posters have said McCart is hit or miss. I enjoy going there because there is so much stuff and I always find something I need/want. It is a huge building, and it is full of everything you can imagine. This is a nice change because the thrift stores in my area have very little selection. I actually drive 20 miles to get to it, so to me, it is worth the trip. more

hit or miss, youll be looking all day 8/10/2005

exactly as the other reviewer said, mccart is a hit or miss. you can look for hours and get a ton of great deals, or nothing. when i do find things they are cheap and interesting. however, unlike some thrift stores, they are aware of brands. which is somewhat weird to me, considering everything is donated to them. better brands are higher priced, sometimes much higher priced. proceeds benefit the lukemia society, so its for a good cause. more

Good Thrift Store 8/5/2005

If you are looking for a specific item, the McCart Thrift Center is a good place to go. A very old building, not the cleanest around, but very organized. The clothing is organized by men's, women's, children, and babies. Within those sections, the clothing is sorted by item (pants together), and by color (all the black together). This really makes shopping quick when looking for one specific item. They also have household goods and furniture. They run specials during the week to move items out more quickly. more

Worth a look 7/27/2005

Like most thrift stores, McCart Thrift is hit-or-miss. But when there are good finds, they are really good. It's huge (it used to be a big store like a Wal-Mart or something), and the selection is pretty large. Of course, the prices are great, so relatively infrequent trips to McCart Thrift should yield a pretty good haul of clothes and other random stuff. more
