Mazzarese Jewelry

I would avoid Mazzarese Jewelry (MJ). In September, they gave me a rough estimate of $750-$1000 to recondition an old Omega watch. Per plan, MJ sent the watch to the Omega’s US HQ in NYC a confirmatory estimate. The NY office determined that it would cost about $650 for parts and labor, but would need to be sent to Switzerland. I consented to the cost with the MJ representative and off the watch went. All OK so far (so I thought). Later, I learned that the quote I received was mixed up with another repair order, and that the status of my watch is unknown. It’s now Thanksgiving. When I asked if they could inquire with Omega, the response was that an overseas call was complicated, and that they would send an email instead. They also advised me that Omega staff (in Switzerland!) might not be available due to the Thanksgiving holiday. At this point, I lost it. When they finally tracked down my watch, it was a classic bait and switch - $1700 repair cost. Surprise! As of today (12/18), they still have no ETA for the watch and now expect it to take a few months. Could you imagine such an amateur act at Tiffany’s? They’d be broke. Moral of the story: Mazzarese is probably OK for a $100 costume jewelry. But, by all means, think twice about entrusting them with a large purchase. And DO NOT trust them with any watch repair. They get a zero in both competence and integrity. more

I have felt more disrespected! The customer service at this store is extremely poor! They were complete unwilling to refund my money after the center stone fell out of my ring, after 1 week of wearing it! With only 1 other ring in my price range; I was offered store credit. The saleswoman tried to pressure me into purchasing a new ring that cost 10 times as much! What a nightmare! more

I live right by a section 8 apartment that the owner of this store owns. They through there trash everywhere and keep me up at all hours. did i mention the prostitution that goes on there. It is a rats nest. i would think about that before shopping there. more

Good: I have been a customer for years now and have always been impressed with their service, flexibility, and attention to detail.. Bad: No complaints.. Improvements: None, at this time.. Other: All representatives are kind and professional at Mazzarese, but I would recommend working with Veronica. If you are a watch afficionado, Mazzarese is a must!. more

Bad: ON NOVEMBER 18TH, I ATTENDED THEIR OPEN HOUSE. AS I HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS, I PURCHASED ABOUT $1,000 WORTH OF JOHN HARDY JEWELRY. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER THAT, I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL A "HOLIDAY GIFT BOND". IT WAS WORTH $100 TOWARD MY PURCHASE. I WENT TO THE STORE TO TRY TO GET A PRICE ADJUSTMENT TO NO AVAIL. THAT'S FINE IF THAT IS THE WAY THEY WANT TO DO BUSINESS ESPECIALLY IN THIS ECONOMY AND OUR FAMILY ON A FIXED INCOME. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND, OF COURSE, I WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THEM.. more

Have only experienced great service, wonderful products and fair prices. Used to wear a Rolex...now wear a Bucherer purchased at Mazzaarese. Great watch, great value, and great explanation from Mazzaarese as to the inner workings of the product. I'll be back for more. more
