I purchased two unfiltered florescent lights about four months ago for the silk screening work I am doing. After struggling for four months, a professional figured out that my lights were not doing the job (these are the recommended lights for this purpose). I took them back and talked to the manager. He offered no solutions: testing the power, the connection, the ballast, etc. He said he did not even have the specs and when I pointed out that you can just Google the model number, he had that George Bush blank look—maybe he has never heard of Google or doesn’t use a computer? He also said he didn’t have a voltmeter or ohmmeter in the store (an electrical store without a voltmeter???!!!). Further, refused to refund or even exchange the lights (about $60). He said his General Electric salesman does not take merchandise back—another surprise: someone who buys $xxxxxx of product a year can’t prevail on the salesman to take back a suspected bad product? The point is: I will never patronize a store that does not even pretend to stand behind the products they sell. Go someplace else.
