Good and Pretty Cheap 5/23/2006

I love the quesadillas--they're very tasty and inexpensive. Don't know if I agree about it being a hang out place, but it's still nice. Also, they blend their strawberry fresca with real strawberries. A little sweet for me, but I love to share it with my bf. more

Great Burritos 10/7/2005

La Vic short for La Victoria Taqueria is a great place to have breakfast, lunch, dinner and/or late night meal. The steak super burrito is my favorite, which comes in a SUPER big portion. The best thing about La Vic is the atmosphere. It is very casual and kind of like a hang out place. Most importantly, La Vic isn't just known for their burritos, they are also known for their Beef Super Nachos!! But what makes La Vic such a good restaurant? The food? yes, but not only is the food great, it's their homemade orange sauce that comes with your food. It's spicy and makes your burrito or nachos the best on earth. more

La Victoria Taqueria 9/25/2005

This is a small little taqueria in San Jose. But the food is Soooooo tasty!!! Always, always ask for Orange sauce. You can even buy it seperately. You will be addicted. The prices are very cheap too. The seating is pretty limited and can be a problem in rush hours, but for what you pay, you get a good value in food. more

Great Mexican Food - Awesome Hot Sauce 8/17/2005

La Victoria is located right between downtown and San Jose State University. The restaurant is actually in an old victorian house. It's a hot spot for college students / teachers and employees of corporate downtown. They have burritos, quesadillas, tacos, dinner plates, and nachos. Their nachos were reviewed as one of the best in the Metro publication. Last but not least, their Orange Sauce (Hot Sauce) is one of a kind. It's not your regular Tabasco or Cholula tasting hot sauce. It's smooth, creamy, and it kicks!!! You have to try it for yourself. They sell the Orange Sauce for $6 a bottle. more

La Vics 8/5/2005

Although this place is situated in what seems like a house, the food is simply amazing. At an inexpensive price you can have some of the best burritos (I've ever had) in downtown San Jose. It is a great place to eat and hang out. I recommend this place to anyone interested in Mexican food at a relatively low price. more

Big Burritos, Little Buck 7/26/2005

This is the quintessential college food joint - but not in a bad way at all! La Victoria features deliciously simple Mexican foods (burritos, tacos & chips) for very little buck. You can get a super burrito (can feed two people) for $5. Tack on some chips and you've got about a meal and a half for under $6! It's located next to the Jack in the Box in what appears to be a converted Victorian house (hence the name?) and is a favorite hangout for local SJSU students. Check it out! more

The Secret ,Super Special, ORANGE SAUCE! 7/1/2005

La Vic's has won many local awards in San Jose for their mexican food. But, I have to say that the only real distinguishing difference between them and other mexican food places is their Orange Sauce. I would suggest buying some after you try it; the sauce is available for sale separately. Seems a bit pricey but it's in line with other mexican food places. LA Victoria's- Con mucho Gusto! more
