La Fondue

Good: Amazing menu selection (i.e., boar, buffalo, croc, alligator, ostrich), very attentive wait staff that always thoroughly explains meats, cheeses, sauces, etc. They stop by often to see if you would like extra dippers for cheese and chocolate, sauces, etc.. La Fondue is a fabulous dining experience, very romantic and perfect for the special occasion. So why do they give so much attitude> I swear the servers and the hosts are trained act better than everyone else. Despite the sttitude, it is worth a trip for fondue. Go all out and order a complete meal (salad, cheese fondue, meat fondue and chocolate fondue). Come hungry because this is more food than you will be able to eat. Don't wear anything that needs to be dry cleaned because you will want to drop your clothes in the washing machine as soon as you get home, you will reek of boiling oil. more

This place is delicious. Everyone should eat at la fondue, except your clothes end up soaking up the whole smell of the restaurant. more

It's a great, intimate restaurant with a little bit of fun mixed in. You have a choice of different fondue liquids to poach your items in or choose the grilling method (our favorite). Everything is inclusive, salad, choice of cheese fondue, main meat entrées and choice of chocolate fondues. I also think there are individual meals, we don't order. There are various levels of two person meals which include fish/shrimp/meats/poultry. Even some wild exotic meats such as venison, ostrich, alligator (dunno if that's a regular item) and buffalo. Expect to spend at least $50 per person with one drink but it's well worth it. You can also go just for dessert, chocolate fondue but I believe it's after 10pm or by reservation only. Expect to take your time (2 hours min.) and enjoy the food and experience. more

La Fondue is one of my favourite restaurants. I'm a big fondue lover, and here you can have all kinds. Although they sell items a la carte you are encouraged to buy a full meal. This includes an appetizer cheese fondue (choice of cheeses), salad, entree (choice of cooking method) meat fondue (there's a vegetarian option as well) and a chocolate fondue (choice of flavored liquer or not, plus dark, milk or white chocolate) for dessert. This is a *lot* of food. You should go hungry and expect to leave full. Dinner takes a few hours, and you should linger over it to truly enjoy the experience. Keep in mind that this is not a place for young children as there are hot burners right on the table. There is a minor problem in that there is only one burner per table so everyone at the table has to have the same thing. But if you can do this then give La Fondue a try! more
