Best

Maybe I should have looked at the menu better, or just took the train into the City and ate at The Palm. Dollar per value sucked. 29.00 for 12 oz steak. Outback and Texas Road Hou...

Just Ok 4/15/2006

This place looks like an interesting place to eat with its beautiful ambience that looks pretty inviting with the boats and all. However the food is not in par with the surroundings. For one thing , its rather ordinary in taste and appearance and secondly its a bit on the pricey side. Wouldnt visit there again, atleast not for a very long time more

ARRGH 4/15/2006

Key Wester was a lousy experience. The inside of the restaurant was nice had pictures of fishing boats.. However, the food was not very good. It tasted like very plain. The prices were high for the quality of the food. Service wasn't very good. I think I will stick to red lobster then this lousy place. more

Definitely 5 stars!! 10/24/2005

Key Wester is a delicious seafood and pasta restaurant. They are open for lunch and dinner. The dishes are somewhat pricey, but the quality is unmatched. If you have room for dessert after devouring your delicious meal (we have only had room for dessert one time!!) I would highly recommend the chocolate treasure chest. I have never seen anything, nor have I ever tasted anything, like it in my life!! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. There are 4 separate area of the restaurant. The waterfall room is just what it sounds like. It has a large running waterfall with vines covering the ceiling. This room can be rented for special events. The havana room is very warm and comfortable. It is styled to resemble a cuban villa. The reef room is anchored by a 2200 gallon salt water tank with some of the most fascinating fish. The deck is seated on the outer area of the restaurant with french doors that are opened in the summer months. more

Nice Ambiance, Poor Food 9/6/2005

We went to the Key Wester because physically it looked like an interesting place to try out. While the ambiance and surroundings are nice, the food is subpar. The food came out lukewarm and did not taste good at all. To top it off, it was fairly pricey. Definitely not worth a repeat visit. more

Good, if Pricey 8/5/2005

Walking into Key Wester, the decor and ambiance are both unique and relatively upscale, plus the giant fish tanks in the main dining rooms add interest. The seafood dishes tend to be quite tasty, much better than the other dishes, which can be hit or miss. The dessert menu is especially delicious, and well worth the extra money. more

Disappointing 7/25/2005

Key Wester was kind of a disappointing experience. The ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. I liked the decor, which consisted of pictures of fishing boats and had a general sea-faring theme. However, the food was not good at all. It tasted like something I could have made at home by myself, and I'm not even a good cook! Plus, the prices were rather high for the quality of the food. It looks like a fun place to eat, but the reality is that you would be better off spending your money elsewhere. Even a national chain like Red Lobster is better than this place. Sorry. more
