Kara is dedicated to providing compassionate support to those who are grieving a death or facing a life-threatening illness. Our mission is to empower all age groups to integrate grief into their lives and find the capacity to move forward with renewed hope.
Kara is a center offering compassionate support and education to individuals, families, and organizations coping with death and dying. Our mission is to empower children, teens and adults to find their way through grief so that they can rebuild their lives with renewed hope and meaning.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 4pm Pacific Time. Kara's services are provided primarily by volunteers who have experience in healing from personal loss. Our volunteers are trained to facilitate others journeys during life-threatening illness,anticipatory grief and bereavement. There is no charge to clients for services; however,a request is made at the initial interview for a donation (pledge) toward administrative costs. The availability of client services is not affected by one's ability to make a donation.

Kara does not charge a fee for its peer support services,though clients are encouraged to make donations to support the agency.
