I think Dr. Woods is competent at what she does. However, I had a terrible experience with her. I made an appointment for my child, who had injured his tooth. We arrived on time and spent over an hour waiting to be seen. No one explained what the holdup was or apologized for the inconvenience, although the office did appear empty other than us. When we finally did see the dentist, her communication was poor and confusing and she challenged what I told her about my son's injury. I sensed that she was trying to help but communicated it so poorly I was completely confused and felt like I was aggravating her. When she began to give him a fluoride treatment I did not want him to have (he is too young), I asked her to stop and she ignored me, rather than explaining herself or addressing my concerns. I wanted to like Dr. Woods. I did like the man who was her assistant. But there is no way I'm going back. Worst experience I've had at any dentist. more

There is no way that actual patients wrote these positive reviews. This dentist is only concerned with how much $ she can squeeze out of you. I know this from my experience and the experience of others. I visited this office because my upper 2nd molar had a very painful cavity. I left still having the cavity, but with both of my upper wisdom teeth removed.(They were coming in perfectly straight, btw) She said that my molar was too far back for her to feel comfortable with doing a root canal and that removing my wisdom teeth was neccisary for a specialist to access the tooth. Basically stating that the wisdom teeth were in the way. Not knowing the impact this would have, I regretfully trusted her. After she yanked them out, I went to a specialist for the root canal. They could not believe that she had done this as it made the procedure far more dangerous because now the root canal was being done next to a giant wound in my mouth. She didnt discuss any options with me. She just went straight for the payday. Another dentist told me that she could have removed the molar that had a cavity and that my wisdom tooth would have grown in and taken its place. That would have the better option but having teeth extracted is several hundred dollars cheaper than having wisdom teeth removed, so I had no options. Also, she is terribly rude! She got my address wrong on my insurance claim so it got lost in the mail and she never owned up to making the mistake. She also tried to charge me a couple hundred bucks for a 5 min visit. I walked in a couple days after the surgery and complained that I was in pain (the tooth with the caviy was still a problem). She accused me of trying to get pain killers for recreational use, put was scope in my mouth for me to swish, then wanted $ for it. She is the worst dentist I've ever come accross and her liscence should be taken from her. more

Dr. Woods is a dentist who will not cut corners when it comes to your teeth. She will not let you convince her to do work that is not necessary and does not benefit you. If you don't agree with what she recommends and want short cuts she will gladly let you take your business elsewhere. I think of her as a Friend not just my dentist. more

Very good dentist, very professional, office has old equipment but very clean. She really cares about your dental health and knows every intricate of dentistry. You can really trust that she is not going to suggest treatments that are not needed. She does not refer you out to other dentist. She does it all and does it well. For this reason alone I would go to her. I having to go all over to get treatment because the dentist refers you out. more

I've been to a couple dentis before but Dr. Woods was the best dentist /that I've been to. I had a root canal preformed 4/7/10 there and I felt othing! No pain at all I highly recommend this dentis to anyone that is looking for a dentist she was very professional and performed the operation with very good care. Highly recommended? more
