Great place for REAL food! 8/12/2009

It's the first place I have found that makes both the meatloaf fresh and the ketchup I use for it! The meatloaf is a weekly special, like their fried chicken, beef stew, baked fish and lasagna. It's nice to find a great breakfast place that also knows how to do a great lunch. This place is worth the visit. Pros: Low prices, family atmosphere, locally owned and operated. Cons: Hard to find behind a pawn shop. more

My favorite place 10/25/2008

I love corned beef hash and this is the only place I have found it were it isn't out of a can or so greasy you can't eat it. In fact hash is their specialty I've tried their ham hash and chicken hash also, though for me you can't beat old fashioned corned beef hash. I also like their grits, which was something new for me when I first visited, and the constantly changing fresh fruit of the day side dish. I can eat a filling breakfast with coffee and juice for under $10.00, a real deal here in Vegas. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a casual family friendly place to eat. more

Best cream cheese stuffed french toast! 10/24/2008

I originally found this restaurant on the web and have been a regular customer ever since. I particularly like the stuffed french toast (4 pieces) with cream cheese and topped with fresh made berry compote. I also like their jalapeno jelly and watermelon jelly. With the toast you get two eggs anyway you like and four pieces of bacon, plenty of food! They are located on the southwest corner of Decatur Blvd and Sahara Ave. I found them to be friendly and the owner is always their and wanting to visit. I would recommend you try their homemade spicy ketchup, habenero sauch or chipotle sauce if you like spicy foods. Pros: Their food is always fresh and hot. Cons: I wish they were open later than 2 p.m. more

Avoid if you don't want to eat hair 6/19/2008

This place was horrible my husband and i went to try it out and we hated the service the people there where not friendly. As I was eating my eggs i found a piece of hair in my eggs not on top. The lady who cooks the food does not where a hairnet. We will never go back there again! Cons: Hair in food, bad service, don't wear hairnets very old looking inside and small more

Best breakfast in town 6/11/2007

This place has the best breakfast in town. It's so quaint and charming, the staff is always super cool and they have a ton of homemade jellys and jams for your toast. I haven't had the lunch yet but I'm excited to try it. We've been there twice in the last 2 weeks. We will continue to be regulars from here on out. You have to go! Pros: FOOD!!! prices, service, atmosphere, homemade everything Cons: only open until 2pm daily more

The absolute best food I have ever had! 2/27/2007

I was amazed when I first tasted the breakfast I had ordered. It tasted fresh and wonderfull. I had ordered a simple bacon and egg breakfast for my first try at this restaurant, figuring it would be hard to mess up. When the breakfast arrived, the eggs were cooked over medium, not over hard or over easy, but actually over medium, and the bacon was HOT and ovbiously had just been cooked. The home fries were real chopped potatoes mixed with green, red and yellow peppers and onions. The taste was right on, the coffee was fresh and tasty, and the service great. The server was friendly and told me I should have tried the fresh made sausage pattie. I will on my next visit. Pros: Cost was very reasonable, lots of seating and very comfortable. Cons: Hidden behind a pawn shop, hard to see unless you look for it. more

A local hotspot 12/16/2005

An unlikely find, a modern midwestern diner in Las Vegas. A friendly spacious diner with a dark polished wood coffee bar offering fresh made hash recipes, such as corned beef hash or peppery roast beef hash. If you are hungry for breakfast, this place serves it all day. Staffed by the owner and long time employees, they are friendly and always glad to see you. Pros: Lots of Parking, Very Clean, Open Kitchen Cons: Closes too early, No beer or wine, Non-smoking more

Great for breakfast 10/31/2005

Whenever were in the area early in the morning we love to grab breakfast at the Hash House. It's a locals joint and whenever you go to a locals joint, that shows the food has to be good. Locals do not keep going back to bad places. The food here is good, abundant and hearty. What more could you ask to start your day. I love to listen to the locals talk about all the chit chat about Vegas. Don't expect five star service or ambience, but you'll get a good meal at a fair price and what more could you ask for. more
