i totally love this place and so does my friends who are out of state. this place is real heaven for people like me who love to read and buy books but at same time it get expensive after some time. books here are real cheap and the name..it says it all. go browse inside i am sure you will end up buying something because there are so many books that are real dirt cheap price and these books are in good condition. hey some are almost like brand new but at half the price, now who wouldn't like that. i have hard time sticking to my budget( i have to make one when i go in there). there is something for every one. they also carry vinyl's and cd's and other stuff. they have clearence area where books are any where between 50 c - 3.00 $ i mean how can you go wrong.on top of all of these they also buy your old books and cd's.now to me that is great cause i put all that money back in to buying more books from there. book lovers check it out.. more

Half Price Books Records Magazines is a great place to shop for books, magazines, and cd's. Like i remember when i went here this one day because i urgently had to look for a book to read for my reading project for school and found an excellent book there for a low price. Like i compared the prices from other stores and this book from Half Price Books Records Magazines was a very great deal compared to everyone else's. Like the workers are so nice when i asked them if there were any good mysteries and they showed me and told me about the book. Like I'm happy that they treat you as a friend and tell you what book they like so that you like it too. The environment around the store is great a friendly warm comfortable environment. I love this store. more

I love this place! If you love books then you'll love the prices!!! With the money i saved from buying books here, i can buy more books~ haha~ There aren't many workers there so you need to be patience and wait sometimes. I usually go midday so there is less people. more

This is the store to go to for all your used book needs. They've got a huge selection, sometimes I even think an overwhelming one. This store maybe isn't the cheapest used book store you'll find, but you always know you're getting the book for half of what anyone else paid for it. The staff are sparse but helpful. It's a better bet to get in there in the middle of the day when there are fewer people so that you get more attention if indeed you need it. more

This is a used book-store located in Fremont near Naz cinema. It is a good place to buy a good book or CD for cheap. They also buy used books and CDs. If you take some books there and they are not interested in buying those, they also offer to take them from you to dispose them or distribute it in hospitals and schools. I like that aspect. A good book should never go to waste. more

Half Price Books is an awesome place to buy used books and music. The selection is very good and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. You can often find great steals. Also make sure you get their calendar in the beginning of the year – it’s full of coupons to make their already good prices even better! more

Stockpiled with a plethora of books, magazines and music, this is a good place to browse the almost-like-new selection of media. There is the opportunity to sell your old books back to the store, but they pay so little for it that it's hardly worth it. I tried to sell back some expensive textbooks there once, and they only offered to pay $1.50 for them. You're better off just buying the cheap books and stationary. more

This is a good venue for selling back your used books, dvds, or cds. Whether or not they will buy it from you depends on the current consumer demand and what the monetary offer will be depends on how many they have in stock at that moment. Besides books, you can also find stationery gifts here, calendars and childrens toys, also. I enjoy browsing here whenever I get the chance. They have a good collection of cookbooks and foreign language study materials. The $1 dollar discount table has some tempting selections, also. more

This is a great place to go hang out for a couple of hours. There are used books and some new books. You may not find an overabundance of the books currently being released or the top books of New York's Bestseller list, but then again, one day, you might. And even the new books are discounted from the "big" stores. What's more, you know that bag of books sitting in the back of your garage with no place to go? Take it them and get a store credit, or cash out, your choice. I would have rated them "excellent", but I find that most (not all) the people working there keep their heads down and aren't super friendly. There should be more than one person who is willing to walk you directly to the shelf and smile. more
