One could spend a long time trying to make up his mind in this particular trophy store. They have a vast assortment of styles and sizes. They can handle very large orders here, and the quality is good. I haven't gotten as good a feeling from the staff at this trophy shop as another in the area. All the same, they really are a place you should check out if you need 5 or 500 trophies done. You'll be impressed with their handiwork.

I'm sure there are bigger or flashier trophy shops elsewhere in the East Bay, but Trohpy Towne is perfect for all your basic needs. They have a nice selection, their prices are very reasonable I've found, they get the work done error-free and on time, and the staff is always really nice. They don't pressure you to make a decision but offer sound advice if you're having trouble deciding between various designs. Again, not the best selection but otherwise a solid place to take care of your end of the season awards needs.

If you're anywhere near the tri-city (Fremont, Newark, Union City) area it's a good idea to visit Tri-City for your sporting good needs. They really do have an enormous selection of basically any sport you can think of. Their prices are better than the smaller specialty stores too. The staff there is not terribly good, though. They emply a lot of high schoolers who have rudimentary knowledge about what they're selling, so if you have serious questions, I wouldn't bother asking there. They might spit out an answer, but it won't be worth much.

With the baseball season coming down to its final weeks, playoff fever is really hitting the East Bay. The A's, as usual, are right in the thick of things, having decided to make things interesting only when it matters. And all the fans are just fine with that. Come down to the park for some quality ball. Wednesdays are $2 upper level seats plus one dollar hot dogs, yes ONE DOLLAR. Check out the local sports page for other fun ofers. An A's game is unlike any other team in the majors. The drums, the chants, the horns...great time.

This is the store to go to for all your used book needs. They've got a huge selection, sometimes I even think an overwhelming one. This store maybe isn't the cheapest used book store you'll find, but you always know you're getting the book for half of what anyone else paid for it. The staff are sparse but helpful. It's a better bet to get in there in the middle of the day when there are fewer people so that you get more attention if indeed you need it.

I guess there's not much that differentiates one recycling place form the next, but I think it's important to let all know that these sites are out there. They pay decent money just ot encourage you to help Mother Earth out a bit. Bring in your plastic bottles and your aluminum cans. Aluminum is best because the weight to volume ratio is so high (when the cans are crushed). The more you have, the more they pay per pound too. It's worth checking out. If you don't do it for youself, do it for everyone else!

I've always had my bike tuned at East Bay. It used to be called Hayward Kawi but they changed the name just about a year back. I've always been impressed with their work. The only problem is sometimes they're not very accurate on predicting when you'll get your bike back. Twice I've had to seriously get on them for taking their sweet time. Otherwise, though, they're a professional bunch and I've never had a problem with the actual work performed.

Although the offices are a bit outdated and the staff lacks enthusiasm, they are very professional and most importantly get your taxes done correctly for you with no fuss and no stress.
