Laura Pace, PA 1/27/2011

Laura Pace, PA is a very smart Physician Assistant.I would highly recommend her. I wish she was located at their South facility, but it's worth the extra miles. more

Dr. Dorothy Williams 1/26/2011

Dr. Williams has been the best doc I've seen in years! She spends 1 1/2 hours on your initial visit, making detailed notes on your case. Each following visit she will talk to you directly for 20 min. What doctor out there does this? I've never been to anyone before who gives you so much time. Yes, she is an intense, intelligent person who has an air of confidence and this could offend some folks. I like it and have found she answers all my questions, and has taught me to assess my own headaches and meds. She empowers her patients. She returns phone calls twice a day and doesn't use some bimbo teenager to return your calls or take your blood pressure or temperature. \r I have found her so compassionate and understanding of my migraines that I have referred many people to her. She gives you time, attention and help. She's awesome!!! more

Total Scum 12/13/2010

Tried to get my recurring prescription filled but was denied because they wanted to see me, even though my doctor had told me that I should remain on it indefinitely. With knowledge that I had been off my prescription for 5 days, they STILL denied me. The woman with whom I spoke with told me that the customer service problems I was experiencing were ""not her problem."" Go somewhere else, people. These are horrible physicians. more

Closest thing to home 11/29/2010

This is the closest clinic to my home so I go there when anyone in our family is sick. The office staff is worse than in any other clinic I have been to. You need to wait on hold for several minutes for the chance to schedule an appointment, more often you need to leave a message. The front desk staff once made me cry by not allowing me to see my doctor who was Shirley Ala at the time. I think she left the clinic because of all the politics, she had called me after she heard I left crying and asked me to come back to see her. \r \r After I got new insurance, I started going back again and putting up with the aweful staff. \r \r Susan Edwards MD once made me wait 2 hours to see her, so don't go with her. But the pediatric PA's will see adults and are good. Lara Pace and Jerry Kelty are excellent PA's and worth visiting.\r \r The North Clinic is where I visit. They do clinical trials a lot so make sure you do your research before agreeing to any of those. Some are good, some not so good. \r \r I gave them only 2 stars since they are only sorta good. They really don't try to be excellent and have poor management. But you can find a good doctor there if you are selective. more

Bad customer service just gets worse and worse 10/27/2010

Been a patient there for 20 years and like my doc a lot. Unfortunately, they see way too many patients per hours, which means I've had Scripts take as long as five days to be refilled and a visit can take hours. Great care but plan on having a lot of patience when you do business here. Waits can be long and the business office ruthless about collecting even before your claims are fully adjudicated. more

DO NOT go there 9/30/2010

Both my daughters had the misfortune of being treated there. One was send home with an advanced bladder infection, in severe pain without the doctor prescribing any antibiotics for TWO days!!! Poor girl was in agony and the pharmacy kept telling her there was nothing for her. After two days calling for meds and getting poor excuses of the doc being so busy, I had to call angry and upset before antibiotics were prescribed. My other daughter went in for severe abdominal pains that had been going on for two days. After examining her he said she had appendicitis and would get her a number to have it removed immediately. Advised her to stay away from the local hospitals because they would be too expensive for her. (Who is he to judge? and what price do you set for health and life?)She has excellent insurance by the way. An hour later he came in and said, never mind, your white blood cell levels are fine so just go home and keep an eye on your appendices. How does a 20 year old do that? She could not walk, sit or lay down without being in constant pain. He prescribed her lortab for pain and sent her home. When I went to see him for additional info or test results on perhaps pancreatitis, he laughed in my face and said ""are YOU the doctor now?"" I felt he was insulting, unprofessional and definitely not thorough enough in his examinations. I urge you to find medical care elsewhere. more

Dr. Dorothy Williams is a great neurologist 7/1/2010

I am quite surprised at many of the comments about Dr. Williams. I have chronic severe migraines and had hit a wall with my regular neurologist. I had three separate people recommend her to me. I have been seeing her for about three years now and she has always been sympathetic and listened to all my comments, concerns, and questions. She has given me referrals to a couple of other great doctors to help me deal with some of the issues that contribute to my migraines (sleep, etc.) Most importantly, she seems as determined as I am to help me get the migraines under control. Whenever I mention that she is my neurologist to other medical professionals many of them are familiar with her work and rave about her. I would highly recommend her. more

Dr Taylor is the best. 3/18/2010

EEsaw... you just gave the wrong person a 1 star rating..... Good job, GED much?\r \r I grew up in SLC with Dr Taylor as my primary doctor. I have lived outside of SLC for 9 years and had many doctors in many places. None of them compare, period. more

Dr. Taylor is awesome 10/7/2009

The only problem with any of the doctors at the Foothill clinic is sometimes, they are overrun. It can be pretty hectic , but what can you expect from GP?\r Dr. Taylor is very professional, kind and understanding. He is an old Midwest doctor and may be unconventional sometimes, but I like going to him and will continue to do so as long as I remain in Salt Lake City. Pros: Great old school doctor Cons: Very busy more

will not take my son there again, parent md perspective 9/30/2009

I direct you to my google review of Foothill South Clinic which is very detailed. Basically, I am a MD who twice took my 2 yr old son here for a severe limp in the setting of an URI (1st time) and gastroenteritis (2nd time). The 1st time the doctor misdiagnosed it as ""occult fracture,"" only for him to get worse, go to Primary Children's THE NEXT DAY where a pediatrician quickly (correctly) diagnosed it as toxic synovitis (diapproving of the clinics assessment). Foothill never sent the results of his xray (though I read it myself) and called a month later to ""check up on him."" PCMC called the next day.\r \r The 2nd visit was last night where gi infection for a week and sudden onset of limp (again). Dr said, ""toxic synovitis"" but recommended to go to PCMC if I was presistently concerned (I think MD's treat MD's kids worse b/c worried of being wrong, etc). Scheduled for ultrasound of hip next day. Called peds orthro and explained symptoms, etc. and was told that I should have gotten basic labs if concern was high enough to order ultrasound as well as basic rheumatology labs because recurrent toxic synovitis is a sign of possible juvenile arthritis (not good to miss). i called back the clinic, told them what the specialists wanted, only for the secretaries to hang up on me once, transfer me to an inactive voice mail twice, and then not pick up the phone. i had to drive there to get the basic labs ordered that nigh, and the next morning my wife returned with son for the basic labs and requested the rheum labs (per ortho request). the pediatrician wouldn't order the rheum panel. per my wife, it was clear he was letting his ego put my son's health at risk without admitting that he was possibly incorrect to not at least talk about these diagnoses/workup. i was shocked hearing this because i looked it up and the literature clearly supports this concern with recurrent toxic synovitis and the peds either did not know this (which he should per ortho) or was too inconsiderate of my sons wellbeing to admit maybe the specialist was right.\r \r as a father/MD, i am saddened that this clinic failed repeatedly to care for my son in an appropriate fashion. parents, i advise you to look elsewhere, as further evidenced by the fact that my son had loss of bowel control and did not even get an abdominal exam last night (a common sense thing, with the doctor only focusing on the hip). Pros: urgent care open after hrs Cons: misdiagnosed/cared for my son twice more

Foothill Family Clinic is Awesome 8/14/2009

I called my diabetic specialist one day because I had an infection in my lower leg. My diabetic spec. said she couldn't help me with it and refered me to the emergency room. (won't go back to that Diab. Dr.) Instead, I went to the FH Clinic and saw Dr. Edwards. Within a minute of coming in the room she had diagnosed me correctly with lymphedema. (swollen legs from fluid collection causing an infection) She got me on an antibiotic and got me in treatment for lymphedema. The infection went away and in just a few weeks of treatment the fluid in my legs is almost gone. For years I have had doctors tell me I just have fat legs, finally I found a doctor (Dr. Edwards) who knew it was lymphadema. My legs are a lot smaller now and I feel a lot better. I'll be switching to Dr. Edwards as my family doctor. She seems very competent and takes the time she needs with you.\r I've also seen Dr. Taylor at the same clinic and he is great. I would recommend either doctor. Great clinic. more

best care in Utah 7/3/2009

We have been patients at Foothill Clinic for 28 years. Dr. Dan Henry is the best! There was one rude doctor there years ago, but he has been gone for about 20 years, and we have not have any trouble with any of them since. The standard of care we receive is always top notch - we recommend this clinic to everyone! Pros: doctor and nurses know and remember us Cons: long wait time occasionally more

Foothill Family Clinic is INCOMPETANT! 6/16/2009

I feel that the doctors and staff at this clinic are so afraid of getting sued that they are afraid to make any actual medical decisions or do anything to help. I have seen two doctors at this clinic, and my husband, a third. Each of them was quick to push us off onto other doctors, make no medical decisions, offer no treatment, and yet charge us $150 per visit. Their wait-and-see attitude is most unhelpful to patients with real needs who are in real pain. I DO NOT recommend this clinic for anything except time-wasting. more

Ray J 4/1/2009

I have been a patient at this clinic for 15+ years, always with the same doctor. It is a small clinic but with enough doctors that you can get in to see someone on a same day basis. I am not too thrilled with the PAs but the doctors I have seen are all excellent!! I was surprised to read the negative comments and would suggest that if you have had issues with someone or some process at the clinic you talk with your doctor. I say this because Dr. T has always been willing to listen to any criticism. \r I have been very impressed with improvements made the last few years towards getting you in on time. The wait time is usually minimal. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good family practice. more

Dr. Dorothy is a horrible Doctor! Do not go to her! 2/21/2009

Horrible. Went to Dr. Dorothy more than once, trying to make it work and not wanting to be too picky. She hurt me, made me cry, and then insulted me for getting upset. She couldn't answer any of my questions, always gave a vague response and she refused to include my husband, despite our request BEFORE the visit. Her staff are rude and cold, like her. WORST DOCTOR IN UT. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

Disappointment after disappointment 12/23/2008

I have gone to Foothill Family Clinic off and on for fourteen years. The doctors and P.A.s are always great during the appointments. But beware of anything to do with phones. Expect long hold times and being placed on hold a myriad of times any time you call. I have had nothing but trouble: call backs, lab test results, calling in prescritpions, on occasion even setting up an appointment can be like pulling teeth. I pay the dentist for that, not the doctor. If you want a doctors' office that has a primary concern for the welling of patiencts, look elsewhere. I have. Pros: I like the doctors. Cons: The office staff is terrible more

Jerry Kelty from Foothill Family Clinic is great!!! 11/11/2008

I have been going to Foothill Family Clinic for about 5 years. The staff has always been polite and effecient, but in particular, PA Jerry Kelty has been the best medical professional I have ever seen and due to my medical condition, I have seen a lot. He has a wonderful bedside manner, always takes the time to listen to me, and will always answer any question I have to the best of his ability.\r \r I cannot recommend him enough!!! Pros: Jerry Kelty is always there to listen, help, and answer any questions more

Do NOT go to Dr. Dorothy Williams! 11/5/2008

I have to say that Dr. Dorothy Williams has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. At first visit I had some questions and she just smiled wide and said ok ok and she didn't answer them and seemed to be insulted and made me feel stupid when I went to ask for more. She did not do an internal examination either. After that because she was close I was going to go back. She would not call me but made her girls keep doing so. The 2nd and last time visiting her she walked in the room with wide smile but had NO knowledge to give me medical details on a question and then outright said (when I said I was nervous) in a indirect but sarcastic way that if I remained nervous it didn't help her. I do not at all feel good with this doctor. It is outrageous. Do NOT go to Dr. Williams! more

Dr. Dorothy Williams is very rude! 11/1/2008

Dr. Dorothy Williams is very rude! It really upsets me that doctors like that are still doctors. She really has no morals for anyone. I wouldn't bring my dog there.(sorry but its the truth). Pros: Nothing Cons: Dr. Dorothy Williams is very rude! more

Dr. Dorothy Williams is a Horrile Doctor! 11/1/2008

Dr. Dorothy Williams is the most HORRIBLE doctor I have ever had the displeasure to meet in my entire life. I had a serious health concern (which she brought up), I could not depend on her giving me any helpful answers. Not only is she very condescending, rude and arrogant, what's unforgivable is that she dismissed my questions and downplayed my very valid concerns. It was only when I started to insist and question her conflicting answers that I got her attention. Even then, I had to do my own research and ask for a second opinion. Never will I recommend her to anyone. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Pros: Nothing Cons: Dr. Dorothy Williams will treat you badly! more
