My Baby's All Grown Up 2/27/2006

Before there was a kitchen at Father's Office, it was a place to get a beer and play board games with a few friends. These days, it's so busy that Standing Room Only is an understatement! But that's with good reason...the aged beef burgers are absolutely amazing, and they (still) offer the greatest selection of gourmet beers I've seen outside a wine shop. I especially love the Raspberry Lambic. more

Classy Burgers and Beer 1/13/2006

Located on the vibrant street of Montana Avenue, Father's Office doesn't look like much from the outside, but has plenty to offer inside. The dimly lit restaurant/bar, ages 21 and up, invites you to try what appears to be hundreds of international beers on tap along with several "especial" wines that can range up to $14 a glass. Its best kept secret besides the great, contemporary, non-radio music played subtly above, are the gourmet burgers and fries, around $10, that you casually order at the bar before you find a table. Great scene for all ages and best for pre-party gatherings. more

i LOVE this place 8/23/2005

This bar is my favorite one in LA. It's gotten a little crowded in the past couple years, but the service is still great and there are tons of beers on tap. The bartenders are knowledgable and can suggest something new for you to try if you feel so inclined. Food is great here too... get the burger. You won't regret it. It's made with aged beef (mmmm) and is fairly large. The sweet potato fries are also delicious - they come with this aioli dip and are just slightly sweet and salty enough to make you crave them a week later. (The other food is good too, but the burger, sweet potato fries and a beer are my standard order) more

Excellent Burgers 8/11/2005

The Father's Office has a great selection of beer on draft. If you are fan of Belgian, it will be your place. Bartenders are very friendly and so are the people around you. The place has very good burgers. Food is excellent. But plan your visit wisely, on weekend you won't be able to get into the place (there are so many people inside), and forget about sitting. So come early, or on weekdays. more
