VERY UNFRIENDLY AND THREATENING 4/16/2012

I visited Duck Creek Antique mall in Cincinnati on Madison road on April 2nd which was my birthday, they sold me a picture and told me that it was a real painting, I was told that by 2 people and the second conversation was overheard by another sales person and she never even spoke up when I was standing there very upset. I had it appraised and found out that it was not real and returned for a refund and I was told no were not refunding your money because we would have to refund everyones money and the tall old store manager threatened to throw me out in front of customerS. I told her that it was my birthday gift to myself and she said ""you told me that it was your birthday 50 times, so give me a break"" I was treated like garbage and had to involve the Better Business Bureau FOR A $50 PURCHASE I even spoke to the OWNER and she said ""well do whatever you need to do youre not getting your $50 back and If you step foot in Duck Creek again I will call the police, when I was the one lied to. IT IS MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN TO HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH ESPECIALLY WHEN THE INFORMATION IS 100% TRUE. *DEFINITION OF SLANDEROUS~Law Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN~MY EXPLANATION OF THE ABOVE EVENTS ARE 100% ACCURATE AND ARE NOT FALSE. more

VERY unfriendly and they will tow you in a heartbeat 3/21/2011

I have shopped here previously and as an antique mall, it has a lot of variety. I like to support local businesses, so I am sorry that I cannot give a positive review this time. I was shopping there this weekend for a dining room table, and after a horrible experience, I will never go back again. I left at 4:30 to exercise next door, and rather than try to make a dangerous left turn out of their driveway, since it was closing time and the parking lot was nearly empty, I thought I would just walk next door. When I returned an hour later (30 mins after they closed), I was in the process of being towed by Kenwood towing. The truck driver refused to leave my car even when I offered to pay the $48 by check or credit card (cash only). He did a shoddy job loading my car, and it rolled off the truck when he was backing up and ran into the truck. So I got to walk 2 hours home, have to pay $110 in cash to get my now damaged car back when I was legally parked. I called the owner at Duck Creek to report this incident, and she not only didn't apologize, she was proud of their towing policy and she said she didn't care if she loses customers. I have never had such an unpleasant exchange with a business owner in my life. more
