My family and I moved to South Orange County area about 8 years ago, and have been seeing Dr. Chironis in Newport Beach just as long. Both my children went to him to take out their tonsils right when we moved to the area. Couldn't be happier with the doc. Clean office, fun staff… Dr Chironis has a hilarious personality and great with the kids. Check him out. Thanks for reading. more

From the start the staff at Dr Phil Chironis office in Newport Beach was\r wonderful. The check in process was quick and I waited for only about 10\r minutes. Dr Chironis who treated me was courteous and thorough. He spoke\r with me long enough to discover that these sinus issues are recurring and\r helped me figure out what course of treatment would be the most effective.\r \r I left with antibiotics and the icing on the cake was that they called me\r the next day to make sure I was ok! Orange County's best ear, nose and\r throat doctor! \r more

Dr. Chironis is awesome - I highly recommend him! I especially appreciate that I didn't feel rushed during my visits. He did my tonsilectomy and it went very well. I wish I had taken his recommendation to have them out earlier. \r more

After having a total Thyroidectomy by Dr. Chironis three weeks ago I can truly say that he is an excellent surgeon. He was ready to answer all my questions and he made me feel comfortable and safe even though I was scared of the surgery. He personally visited me at the hospital. His staff were very kind and understanding with me. Thank you Dr. Chironis! You rock!\r more

I had been diagnosed with “sudden hearing loss” by another doctor and was devastated. I went to Dr. Phil Chironis for 2nd opinion. He was caring, listened well and had a good sense of humor. He saw my anxiety over the issue and asked for a 2nd hearing test immediately. His staff is awesome, set up the appointment right away and sent me to an Audiologist who was waiting for me in a different office. Dr. Chironis followed up with the audiologist on the same day and by the end of that day, I had my diagnosis. I had congestion in my ear, and had been misdiagnosed by another doctor. He even called me in the evening to answer some of my lingering questions. I strongly recommend Dr. Phil! more

My family has been going to Dr. Chironis since 2006. \r My husband was the first to go to him with tinnitus. My son had a deviated septum that Dr. Phil Chironis corrected beautifully with surgery. I've seen Dr. Chironis for various problems: A salivary gland problem, allergies, sinus, infection and most recently, what I thought was a sinus problem, but Dr. Chironis correctly diagnosed as TMJ. He is an astute diagnostician and an excellent surgeon. He has a caring manner, is thorough, very smart and aside from the excellent care he's given my family; I've witnesses his gentleness and patience with his older patients. \r \r His staff is wonderful. Mary, who runs the front desk, and the office manager, have been there for years, and they are the nicest, most knowledgeable and helpful people you'll find in a physician's office. The other thing I really appreciate about the office is that it's spotlessly clean. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a bit, if there's an emergency, but most times I've seen the Doctor in less than 10 minutes. Dr. Chironis is an exemplary physician and I highly recommend him. more

Hello. I have been a patient with this office for over 2 years now. Everyone in this office is very professional and polite. The doctor and assistants have helped me tremendously with my hearing loss. They having cutting edge products that are really a miracle. Wendy is one of the specialist and she is very professional and knowledgeable. Wendy gave me a new hearing device called the LYRIC, it is invisible and fits perfect into my ear. I can hear normal sounds like birds chirping, wind, people whispering, etc...Wendy has changed my life with this device, i never had any problems getting fitted. I will continue to use these specialist for life. i would highly recommend this office to anyone. Thank you Wendy and Dr. Chironis. more

Unlicensed hearing tester isn't an audiologist 1/31/2009

My husband got hearing aids from Dr. Chironis off the internet we thought just \r didn't work well. But he was with another relative at a real ear specialist and \r they were squealing. Well, that audiologist took a look and they were programmed\r all wrong for his hearing. She re-programmed them then made him a new mold \r that fit better. His problems are solved. there was nothing wrong with the hearing\r aids themselves. We called Chironis and his girl so they'd help others but they \r wouldn't even return our phone call. California Consumer Affairs told us his\r fitter isn't an audiologist. That's an educated professional who understands\r hearing and sound. Pros: convenient location in a nice medical building Cons: flash visits, imprecise, unlicensed person doing audiology, expensive hearing aids. more

Didn't Care & Didn't Know But Wouldn't Say 12/30/2008

I too got rounds of antibiotics, lightning flash visits without help till I saw an ear specialists \r which Dr. Chironis isn't but didn't say. His hearing test girl isn't a licensed audiologist. \r My uncle got defective hearing aids for 6 grand he couldn't get his money back for. \r I'd say keep looking if you have ENT problems. Pros: On my health plan Cons: Not helpful for my ear fungus, unlicensed personnel, defective hearing aids, disheveled more

That lady needs to calm down 5/28/2008

The woman previous obviously has no clue what she's saying, as she is not the doctor and is most likely a stay at home mom with no life and too much time to complain. Dr. Chironis is the one who spent years in medical school, not you, lady. So sit back and calm down, and next time...maybe you should just do what ever the doctor tells you to do. Stop being a moron and obnoxious. DR.PHIL YOU ROCK! more

All Antibiotics! 2/10/2008

Dr. Chironis must have a contract with pharacutical companies, all he did was perscribe antibiotic after antibiotic, which never took care of the problem fully, the problem always came back. He didn't take the time to review my case from my primary care physican(who had already perscribed a handful of various antibiotics and sent me to him because the antibiotics weren't doing anything). He wasn't interested in my case and always said that my sinuses weren't that bad (easy for him to say, he didn't have outragous sinus headaches almost every day which made it hard to function) Seems like he only likes extremely bad, high pay out cases... more
