Dado Tea

Dado has many teas and a few sandwiches and baked goods. They have a variety of green, oolong and the usual black teas as well as a few more exotic kinds. The sandwiches are pretty good and there is a lunch special that includes tea, a sandwich, and fruit or chips; a good way to try something new. There is a traditional ginger tea on the menu that costs more, and I am here to warn you that it is literally a BOWL of shaved ginger- tons of it - in hot water, steeping like mad. It is SUPER GINGERY. It made me sad that day as I really wanted plain old ginger tea, and I got overwhelmed. Weeks later, though, on some miserable day, I found myself craving it. Go figure. Don't be afraid of anything here; you just might like it. Tiny storefront with wooden benches, but walk past the counter on the right and you'll find a few more tables. more

If you’re in the mood for something different, check out dado tea. They have an extensive tea menu, and lots of pastries and little foods you can try. I wouldn’t really recommend the food, though their tea is very good. They have two locations, one between Harvard and central, and one in Harvard square. more

This place looks really nice. There are bamboo plants everywhere and all sorts of tea. The food here does get expensive. Expect to pay at least $10 to get full. However, the place exerts some sort of Zen on you and you want to keep coming here again. more

Forget traditional English-style tea--Dado serves its brews from either yixing or Korean pots, complete with steeping instructions. Selections come from the Far East and include Korean green and dark oolong with ginseng. House specialty varieties include "Eight Treasure" and homemade ginger. Enhance the experience by sitting at the authentic Korean tea table at the back of the store. Light sandwiches and salads are available, as is the Korean specialty rice dish Bi-Bim-Bap. Sidewlak seatin seating is also available. more
