Excellent Service 1/5/2012

I am a long term resident of Cambridge, MA, and I have been relying on Custom Eyes, and Kevork Tinkjian, for many years for all of my optometry needs. Kevork Tinkjian provides excellent service. He is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and makes every effort to accommodate his customers. I appreciate that he has remembered my name over the years. Custom Eyes is unquestionable the best location for glasses, offering a wide array of frames in different styles by different designers. Still, the defining characteristic of Custom Eyes is their dedication to quality customer service. more

Best Service in Cambridge 11/20/2010

I have been a customer of Custom Eyes for over 2 years now. They have always treated me professionally and courteously. I am a procrastinator, so I have often run out of contacts, and I have forgotten my exam more than once. They have always given me a sample to get me to the next available appointment, and just rescheduled. Dr. Kathleen Murphy is thorough and personable. Kevork is always the professional, and gives great advice on which frames look good on you, and the price point is not a consideration. I highly recommend Custom Eyes. I cannot say enough about the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. Have patience - good customer service and thorough care take time. There is never any rush. more

Had a very bad experience 7/30/2009

I had been there a year and things seemed to go well. When I called back for an appointment the man at the front desk was rude and not accomodating. There were no appointments for several weeks and I had no more contact lenses - and my glasses were broken. He refused to give me a sample to help me through to the appointment. When I did go to the appointment 2 weeks later Kathleen Murphy, the eye doctor, took a quick look in my eyes with the slit lamp and informed me that I had a viral conjunctivits and she would not be able to do the exam for at least 3 weeks because of this. I went to a different eye doctor the following day who stated that there is no evidence of this and that that story was fabricated.\r Needless to say after paying for childcare to get to the appointment - and then being sent out again without any accomodation - it was very frustrating. I have no conclusion to draw other than she was trying to make my life unnecessairly difficult. Pros: none Cons: see details more
