Difficulty with Creative Mirror 8/6/2011

I was impressed to see Mr. Pritikin respond to someone who had trouble. Not expecting the same. We bid out a shower project and liked Creative Mirror's proposal best. It lasted less than a year. When we complained, the workmen from Creative Mirror who tried to fix it broke our shower. Creative Mirror said the design was wrong for our house (the design they proposed when they came to our house to propose a design). We were never asked any qualifying questions at the time, figuring the expert in our home from Creative Mirror would know what to propose and/or ask, so obviously had trouble with that response. Creative Mirror wanted several hundred dollars to fix just a piece of the problem and refused to fix the damage done during the first attempt. Communication with Creative Mirror regarding this problem was not positive in any respect. A handyman we found fixed everything for a couple hundred dollars. As much as I'd rather share a positive experience, it goes without saying that I would never go back to, nor would I endorse Creative Mirror. more

Great experience, great value 12/11/2010

I appreciated the professionalism, the workmanship, and the value of doing business with Creative Mirror. So far I have used them for my master bath and guest bath. Always receive compliments on the work they did and I would recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right...with Creative Mirror you get what you pay for and then some. more

Purchased 2 shower door units 10/1/2010

Good: The quality of the glass is good.. Bad: I purchased 1 standard and 1 custom door unit. The custom doors came in wrong so I had to wait another 2 weeks for them to come in. I went to the store to pick them up without bringing the other ones back. Because they are $500 doors, I didn't want to be responsible for them. The guy said, "Did you think you were just going to keep the doors?" I told him that they were wrong so why would I want them. I asked for a credit and he said NO since they were custom ordered. He was a very rude man.. Improvements: I will return the wrong doors and pick up hopefully the correct ones and will never do business with them again. Given that they provided the wrong doors, I would have thought they would be more helpful like maybe deliver the new doors and pick up the wrong ones. They made the mistake and I am the one that had to deal with returning very heavy and expensive doors, the time and gas it takes to do so and the additional 2 weeks wait.. Other: I could have gone to Home Depot and gotten better service and paid half the price. They charge $125 to deliver which is why I had a friend / installer pick up the doors for me. I guess it's ok with them that I utilize my time and money when it's their mistake. Very, very poor customer service.. more

After seeing this posting, I immediately called Dee and left her my cell phone number to discuss the situation and was glad to hear back from her. While the quality of the door she purchased was excellent and she confirmed that in her post at the beginning, we should have offered to deliver the glass given there was a mistake the first time (even though it was not an installed purchase). Had I known of the situation, or our showroom manager known, we would have gladly taken care of Dee and delivered the shower door to her home. Still, it is our fault for not having better prepared our shop worker who handled (mishandled) the situation with Dee. The doors that Dee purchased from Creative Mirror are considerably better than anything remotely comparable at Home Depot. My rating was for the phone call, sorry. 1: WE DID NOT USE YOUR SERVICE 2: YOUR SALESPERSON WAS VERY NICE 3: I CANNOT & DO NOT SPEAK FOR YOUR ACTUAL WORK, AS WE CHOSE TO NOT DO THE MIRROR WORK AFTERALL. 4: THE PHONE CALL WAS THE PART THAT CAUSE THE RATING, NOT THE WORK OR SALESPERSON. CORRECTION about my ORIGINAL post. It was poorly stated. I gave you 5 to even out the one, which a neutral was in order as your company was not used, because we decided not to do the work. more

Creative Mirror Addison, IL 10/21/2007

My wife and I have had several dealings with Creative Mirror of Addison, IL and all have been exceptional experiences. They have solved problems that other mirror and shower door companies could not. Not only did they do a fine job within budget but the outrcome has been beautiful beyond satisfaction. Their installers have been on time, careful, clean and fast. They installed a glass shower door. Several mirrors and best of all they removed a large mirror in our bathroom during remolding that they had installed previously in a lower bath cabinet. The new cabinet being higher required that the mirror be removed, cut down and replaced after the final installation of the new cabinet. Removing a mirror that has been glued to the wall with out breaking or chipping the glass takes skill and long experience handling glass and mirrors. Our hats are off to Creative Mirror. more

Creative Mirror Designs has been a member of the BBB for over 30 years and Elli 2 statements about BBB complaints are false. Her complaint from 2005 was brought to my attention by one of our customers. We enjoy an excellant reputation and Creative Mirror Designs has always had and always will have a satisfactory report with NO UNRESOLVED COMPLAINTS! Your Company never bothered to check out the veracity of your members statements and this complaint should be checked out before you leave a scathing misreprentation on your site for 2 years. I would appreciate the opportunity of having the records put straight. Go to www.creativemirror.com click audio testimonials to see what are customers truly think. We have over a thousand written testimonials and your member is making false statements. On rare occasions, salemen make a mistake or prices could have been increased if the customer held the proposal over 30 days. I never had the opportunity to review her complaint. We have dealt with over a million consumers and we advertise in the leading newspapers and TV and we have NO COMPLAINTS! Your member confused 3 resolved complaints over a period of 36 months with many, many millions of doolars in sales to happy customers. You could check our BBB file and you will see that we have Zero unresolved complaints for over 30 years as a member of the BBB. In the event that you do not check out the facts about Elle 2 false statements and you continue to list false information that harms our Company, I will be contact the newspapers, action line and investigative reporters on TV to make them aware of this situation. Very Pricey 8/11/2005

I found this place to be quite pricey. The merchandise had alot of European Flair, that gave it a very distinct flavor. The show room was interesting as they had all kinds of decorative pieces. You can also have a custom mirror made if your looking for something unusual. more

Beautiful Mirrors 7/25/2005

Creative Mirror Designs has everything from standard vanity and full-lenght mirrors to very contemporary, artsy pieces. I love shopping here, although it is a bit pricey for my tastes, so I don't buy too often. If you are in the middle of decorating your home, I recommend that you check this store out. It's a lot better than shopping at a department store, plus you can be relatively certain that you friends and family members won't have the same pieces in their homes (which you can't say if you shop at Ikea or something like that!). more
