Pizza Has lost its appeal anymore with the concept of ordering a pie online or entering a pizza shop that has computer screens and belt driven ovens. Casa Del Sol is one of the last pizza joints with old school charm and great tasting food. Just a cozy little joint well hidden on aspinwalls 1st street, A high counter separates you from the kitchen as you can see your food being made right in front of ya! One of Pittsburgh's Best Pizza! 5/23/2010

I've been a loyal customer for a few years now. I only wish I found this place sooner! The pizza is un beatable, great taste at a good price. I honestly think this is better than Mineos! Their calibrese pizza and godfather hoagie are their best items on the menu but be sure to try their red pizza too cause its great. the original casa del sole was great food and a cheap price, not its poor food and a chain price. casa used to be high quality and now its just as watered down and bland as a chain restaurant. its a sad day when voceliess and fox's pizza are beating out a ""mom and pop shop"" the reality is its just a place for kids to hang out and play. do your self a favor and drive past casa and go to another pizzeria Pros: none that i could find Cons: price and quality of food more

Super quality and great recipes 6/24/2009

Casa del sol was started by a dedicated, hard working gentleman from Sicily over 30 years ago. Then as good fortune would have it, when he decided to retire, he sold the enterprise to a great family. And these new owners have only improved on an already great formula for being the best. Homemade ingredients are always fresh and cooked by a conscientious team who know what their doing. Pizza, Hoagies, healthy fresh salads and other tasty specialties fill out a super menu. We're fortunate here in Aspinwall and the nearby region to have such a fine place. Pros: One of the rare, truly great Pizza purveyors. more

I ate the same pizza for 20 years and now that I found Casa del Sole Pizza I can't think of eating pizza anywhere else!!! more
