This is a great place for children who enjoy science and like to get their hands on things themselves. It is worth purchasing a membership if you and your children enjoy going to the Science center. A membership allow you unlimited entrance a year round and many of the shows they do there you can enter for free with membership. They also hold special events for member and kids love those mini scientific gatherings. Highly recommended. more

I've gone to the Science Center throughout my childhood. Now, as an adult, it is still a great place to go. Parents and kids will have fun at the same time! more

This a great museum to visit as a family or on a field trip. They have so many hands-on activities and the Omni-max is terrific. My kids especially like the submarine exhibit. Everyone has a great time. more

my 18 month old son LOVES their water play area and the ball area better than anything at the children's museum more

The Science center is a fun ,interactive , family oriented experience. However, it is a bit pricey and parking is terrible. It is located close to PNC Park and Heinz field. more

The Carnegie Science Center is just fantastic. There are fun and educational things to do for every age - especially elementary age and up. I especially love the Imax movies. more

Children ages 3 to 10 will have a wonderful time romping around the science centers many floors and exhibits. They offer the imax theatre and adjacent sportsworks for extra. more

The Science Center feels a little old for my two year old. But he loves the balls suspended in the water fountain in the lobby, and the ramps are a wonderful alternative to stairs. We find it's a good place to run our 2 year old around to get him tired, but not as stimulating as the Children's Museum for the under-3 age group. more

Great place for older kids. They do have a little are for children over two though. more

plan to stay all day its that great more

Editorial review from LilaGuide.com 3/12/2006

Overwhelming, crowded and a bit too advanced for toddlers/preschoolers, but great for older kids. It tends to be pretty expensive, particularly if you want to get tickets to the Omnimax Theater, too. But it's a great trip for school-age kids. The staff does great stage presentations to supplement the exhibits. more

Editorial review from LilaGuide.com 3/12/2006

As much fun for the adults as the kids. more

Editorial review from LilaGuide.com 3/12/2006

A lot of the science center is geared toward school-aged children - tons of fun exhibits that make science fun and approachable. Kids under 5 love the special area for them on the 4th floor; the water table is always a huge hit! more

Editorial review from LilaGuide.com 3/12/2006

A little expensive for nonmembers. But a great, contained area for younger kids with water play that's not too messy. And tons of open space for blowing off steam. more

How great to have a place one can bring any age kid and still have a great time -- not to mention my 69 year old dad, who couldn't tear himself away from the model train. more
