Nudity does not enhance South Pacific production 1/6/2012

I just viewed ""South Pacific"" at the Capitol Theatre. The music and staging was fantastic but I felt that the audience should have been warned in advance about the full nudity in the production. If it had been a movie it would have been rated R. I was so glad that my teenage grandchildren were not able to attend. The nudity was not essential to the plot and left a bad taste in my mouth. I am no longer confident that I can depend on Capitol Theatre management to schedule performances that I am willing to view. more

EXCELLENT 12/15/2002

This was the first Ballet I was able to take my daughters too. It was inspiring to us all. The talent of the young children was breathtaking. It gave me hope that the Arts are still alive in our young. Pros: Inexpensive, Inspiring, Magical Cons: none, none, none more

Marvelous Splendour!!! 6/27/2002

It was truely an unforgettable experience. My fiance and I saw Saturday's Voyeur. It was a phenomenal performance. The building it's self is beautiful. I honestly think every seat in the house has to be a good one. You must see a perfomance at this theatre. We loved it and will return always! Pros: Perfomances, Atmosphere, Superbness more

Beautiful theater 6/12/2002

This opulent old theater is a beautiful place to see the ballet, a play or a concert. The acoustics are good--Alison Krauss was wonderful when she played here--and it's the place to see touring productions like Aida and Les Miserables. more
