Great vegetable plate! 4/9/2006

Their vegetable plate is awesome, I get it every time I go. They have great drinks and appetizers as well. Make sure to save room for dessert, they are huge! It is the most casual of all the Cameron Mitchell restaurants and is suitable for the whole family. If you go on the weekends, call ahead or prepare to wait. more

Constantly Good 4/5/2006

I’ve been going to Cap City since it opened over ten years ago, I always find good food and good price with a serve staff that knows what they are doing. The Maytag potato chips are to die for, seriously my friend orders them for lunch and eats them all by herself, she won’t share. Their salmon dishes are always done well and my dad says that sometimes he dreams of their meatloaf. All in all a good place, but I have to say, I would be okay if they shook up their menu a little bit, having been their so often, I would like their fine chefs to try something new occasionally. Definitely if you haven’t been, go, and call ahead as there seems to always be a wait. more

Comfort food extraordinaire! 3/23/2006

We love the Cap City Diner. It has a fun, casual atmosphere with freindly staff and great food. The food is typical diner fare done with typical Cameron Mitchell flair and style: Mac and cheese, meatloaf, burgers, and salads have never looked or tasted so good. The desserts are fabulous. Kids are welcome, and a children's menu is available. This is a great place to meet freinds as part of a night out, have a special family dinner to celebrate something, or as a get-to-know-you first date spot. We've been coming here for years and have never had anything but the best of meals and service. more

Fun Food! 12/19/2005

My husband, friends and family love getting together here. The least expensive of all the cameron Mitchell restaurants, it provides an enjoyable atmosphere and great meals. Several items I think are great, are the meatloaf sandwich, which is like an incha nd a half of meatloaf. If you are in the mood for an appetizer the sweet and sour calamari is great. And for a finale, the chocolate cake is a winner hands down. It's an enormous piece--enough for several people! more

Any Cameron Mitchell is a good choice 7/29/2005

I highly recommend trying Cap City for your first Cameron Mitchell restaurant. Not only does it have a good selection to choose from that pretty much anybody can enjoy, it is also one of the least expensive CM restaurants in town. Don't let that fool you, though...any Cameron Mitchell restaurant is a good one. I haven't come across one yet that I haven't loved. It's mid-range as far as prices, and I highly recommend the pecan encrusted pork chops...my favorite! The servers and staff are always very friendly, and the atmosphere is both contemporary and comfortable. Make sure you call ahead to get on the list, because most any Cameron Mitchell restaurant is so popular, you may have to wait a bit. As a side note (at least for the girls), check out the bathrooms in these restaurants. Not only clean and inviting, they usually have mouthwash, hairspray, hand lotion and other personal items that make it way above par! more

A Cameron Mitchell Special! 7/12/2005

Cap City is my favorite of the Cameron Mitchell restaurant chain! It's "diner style" fare and decor are really warm and inviting. There are a few sections you can sit in, including one that has diner booths and decor. There's also an outdoor bar and patio. But don't be fooled! The food is AMAZING! My favorite dish is the romano chicken...enough for 2-3 meals! The food is GOURMET, and the customer service is at the Cameron Mitchell highest! Delicious food and a cool place for drinks! more
