It a relatively short course, so play from the gold tees if you're a decent ball striker. Otherwise you'll be hitting wedges into the greens all day long. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape, but the tee boxes were a bit chewed up and uneven (one expects more from a course that charges $95 a round). Pros: Chalanging, good Greens Cons: Price, Slow Play, Tee boxes-maintenance more

    Regarded as one of the top public courses in Chicago, Cantigny Golf is an impressive 27-hole facility. Greens and fairways are well bunkered throughout. Plenty of water. Famous Dick Tracy bunker on Lakeside #9.
