Best

This place is great and Alicia (the bartenderette) is beautiful. Everyone is helpful and is in a great mood...especially if you buy a round! Pros: Wonderful service and person...

Worst

ive been to this place a couple of times, as i live in santa monica right around the corner. my first time there, one of the owners was sitting at the end of the bar, highly intox...

stay away from this poisonous plave 2/15/2010

ive been to this place a couple of times, as i live in santa monica right around the corner. my first time there, one of the owners was sitting at the end of the bar, highly intoxicated and cursing a blue streak because he kept talking about how some team he bet on didnt cover and he lost alot of money. very trashy, huge turn off. the next time i went in there with my girlfriend, the same owner was in there and wasted again. i went to the bathroom and made a phonecall and was away from the bar for about 10 minutes, and when i came back my girl was in the middle of yelling at this piece of shit for telling her that if he was '10 years younger he make her think her boyfriend was bollocks the way he'd shag her' Needless to say i flipped out at him and he proceeded to kick me out of his bar because i didnt like that he sexually harrassed my girlfrend. talking to other friends of mine who live in the area apparently he has a reputation for constantly doing blow in the bathrooms, and being extremely rude to women like the way he was to my girlfriend. i hope he is reading this because if i see him on the streets its gonna be a problem. so in short, only go to the britannia pub if you want shitty food, overpriced drinks, and some drunk english cokehead hitting on your girlfriend. Pros: youll feel much better about your life after 5 minutes here Cons: burning down establishments like this is illegal more

Great Place! Nice People and good karaoke. 12/1/2008

This is a nice place to go and unwind sing a little and enjoy the night. All the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. The drinks are well priced and they are stiff. \r more

Great Hole-in-the-Wall Place 7/3/2007

This place is fun and the service was good but it is a total hole-in-the-wall! My friend and I found it one Wed. night, while we were randomly wandering around the 3rd St. Promenade at 10:00 -- it was the suprisingly the only place open. It was noisy but the decent cover band that was playing in the tiny space provided good entertainment. It isn't good for groups and the crowd is in their late 30's. We are in our early 20's and we were definately the youngest there. more

Friendly service 11/9/2006

I like small pubs, specially if they have an English feel to them. So naturally when my friend took me to this pub, where the owner lady even remembered my friend from his last visit, I liked its atmosphere. Its a good place to sit and have a pint or two and watch some sports. The drink variety is comparable to any average size pub. The only problem was with the food. We ordered a couple of dishes, beef samosas and french fries. Both were bland and did not have even salt. So what the other dishes are like is anybody's guess. But if you are looking for a nice place to hangout in SM, this is one of them. Pros: Friendly service, good beer, sport channels Cons: No salt or taste in food more

nice change of atmos off of 3rd st. 7/12/2006

went here for world cup finals. they charged $10 cover (no drink included either, just a lil sandwich at half time) to get in. i had breakfast but i couldnt eat the rest of the day bc it was soo greasy. it was good, though. \r \r the staff was working like crazy--i was impressed. nice crowd, but then again it was for world cup. id give this place another try. and yes, they have stella on tap. Pros: atmosphere, lots of TVs, patio Cons: not enough seating, bathrooms, greasy food more
