Rent is the most affordable in the area. Management is Morrison, Ekre & Bart (MEB), their main office is at 12th St. & Missouri, they have many properties in Maricopa County they manage and they have assigned a group of staff members to Biltmore on the Lake. They prefer to have permission to enter your apartment at their leisure for work orders...they have the keys. So if you change your locks for your security and they have an emergency in a neighboring apartment and they can't get in your apartment.....you'll have a big problem!!!. When they have emergencies and need to access your apartment with their set of keys, you'll never know they were there, they will not leave you a courtesy note. You’ll just wonder why you think you turned off the lights when you left and they're back on when you get home??!.\r
They put notices on your door frame giving you 48 hours notice to enter as required by law to change light bulbs and air filters but they don't show up all day!!!, they don't want you to wait around, just leave.\r
Weird right!! When you sign lease, you'll be required to get renters insurance to insure your belongings, its part of the lease agreement, another thing about the lease is the ""bug problem"" the Pest Control Addendum gives you the idea there may be a bed bug problem, but the real problem, daily problem, is ROACHES.\r
Buy plenty of roach motels (they work) and serious roach killer to saturate the kitchen cabinets and especially under the sink and the walls behind the stove and fridge, do the baseboards too (every 6 weeks) and you'll survive. The property was built back in the 80's and has absorbed moisture over the years, the roaches are there permanently.\r
Also the walk ways are filthy, the management has never cleaned our walk way and it appears to be OOZE coming from the walls.\r
It's a roof over your head for cheap, Keep your head down and eyes open, you can secure your apartment with video. Most of the residents mind their own business and respect each other.\r
