Best

We went here for a close friends wedding, it is a beautiful place, the food was delicious, the staff could not do enough for everyone. It's a great hotel but if any of you are lo...

Worst

I never suspected that steak frites could be so bad. My steak was grey and overcooked. The fries weren't fries at all, but rather fried potato strips that looked like they should ...

Can't get much better for the price... 6/30/2007

My husband and I decided to stay at Bally's on our recent trip to Las Vegas. We loved the location as it was close to everything on the strip. We ended up upgrading our room once we arrived (the woman that checked us in was very nice) so we were in a suite. It had an awesome view of the strip, a huge jacuzzi tub, enormous bathroom area and oversized shower with steam shower included. We paid only $159 for it which was a killer deal. While we were there we ordered room service a couple times. The breakfast that we got was actually pretty cheap for room service and it was better than any breakfast we'd ever gotten even at the fancier hotels we've stayed at. Great portions and fast service. My husband's parents were in Vegas at the same time and stayed at the Four Seasons. I thought our room was bigger and better than theirs! It may not have been quite as updated as theirs but it didn't feel dirty or anything. We didn't spend much time in the casino but it seemed about the same as any of the others we walked through. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Vegas, we didn't want to leave! Pros: Big spacious rooms, right on the strip Cons: Maybe some updating but still not too bad... more

The best French brasserie in Vegas 6/26/2007

We love French bistros and Mon Ami is by far the best and most economical in Vegas. They know how to cook steak perfectly, their salads are fresh and lightly dressed, and their wine list is impeccable.\r \r But most of all, their staff is well trained and attentive. The catering/wedding manager especially, Drew, is the top of the line in customer service.\r \r We will always go back here (but we will also try Daniel Bolud's). Best, Z Pros: The steak frites; the wine; the service Cons: wish we could eat there every day! more

Decent Food, Great View from Patio 11/30/2006

First things first. The Patio is the best place to sit but the dining area has views of the Bellagio fountain as well. You have to reserve patio seating in person. This restaurant ONLY hires stupid, rude hostesses. In all the years of eating at this restaurant, the hostesses have all been idiots. The wait staff luckily has always been professional and good. The food is pricey but it's an experience you shouldn't miss. Even the coffee is good here. Pros: The view and wait staff Cons: Hostesses are always rude more

over rated 11/21/2006

Yes this is one of the best locations in Vegas. Its lovley to sit outside and watch the fountains at The Bellagio. But the food is terrible those awful things they call fries!!!!! Millions of them overtaking the whole plate just horrible.\r Pros: Great view and nice to sit outside Cons: terrible food more

The piece d? resistance is the steak ongle with pommes frites -- and the baguette with carrots is fabulous! 11/20/2006

We?ve been coming to Mon Ami Gabi for years and everyone we?ve brought along or told about the restaurant loves it. It truly is one of the best inside secrets of Las Vegas ? go to Mon Ami Gabi for a personal view of the fountains at Bellagio. The piece d? resistance is the steak ongle with pommes frites (get the cognac peppercorn sauce added to it!) and the julienned carrots with the baguette before dinner always threaten to ruin my appetite because I keep asking for more and more servings. Everything is amazingly good and the French restaurant ambiance is excellent. Pros: Excellent and highly reliable food, time after time; Numerous heaters for those chilly nights Cons: None. more

Fun Hotel! 11/19/2006

This hotel was fun to get in and out to the strip. Our room had great views of the Bellagio and of the strip. It was elegantly decorated and our bellman was very courteous and seemed to genuinly love his work there at the hotel. The casino was awesome! The staff was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed and that our business was much appreciated. We recommend this hotel highly. Pros: It's a fun hotel to stay in! more

Go for the view and the frites! 11/17/2006

This is one of the best tips in Vegas - to sit outside at Mon Ami Gabi gets you a ring-side view of the amazing fountains at the Bellagio. During the course of your meal you'll get to see the display several times. And the steaks are'nt bad here - the frites (or fries) are terrific and decadent. It really looks like a restaurant in France so the atmosphere and the fountains give you and your partner a truly international, romantic time out. more

Ok hotel and casino. 11/14/2006

Hotel rooms are ok but nothing special. The casino is alright. Service was not that great at the casino bars. Pros: Easy to find your way around. Cons: Poor service at casino bars. more

OLD STUFFY ROOMS, RUDE SERVICE! 11/11/2006

no it is not the worst place you can stay in vegas , but i will never stay there again, rooms are old ,a/c does not work well, service well below average, (i was playing craps in there casino and the pit boss went out of his way to tell me that i was not going to get comped on my play, because they did not like how i played!! i was up about $2000.00) more

Best Steakhouse on the Strip 11/3/2006

This restaurant has great prices, great food, and great ambience. Instead of having the Pomme Frites, you can also try potatoes prepared a little differently - au gratin, mashed, or baked. Be sure to ask your server. Also, feel free to mix up the sauces with your steaks. Mon Ami Gabi has a variety of cuts and sauces that you can switch up - no need to stick to what's on the menu. If you do stick with what's on the menu, you can't go wrong. Make reservations as the line for this place can get long. Highly recommended! Pros: Great value for the money Cons: None! more

Nice Carribian Fusion 11/2/2006

Really nice island fusion in an atmosphere that is probably a little more elagant than you would think. The jerked pork, though not authentic, is really really nice, well seasoned, tender, flavorful. The mojetos rock the house. Pros: Great Island Fusion between Balleys and Paris Cons: Not cheap more

Great location 10/31/2006

Good value, good food, great value in wine selection. Super view if you wait for a patio table. Try the bar if you are in a hurry. more

Not a Bad Hotel 10/22/2006

The hotel is not bad, but it's not a ""trendy"" hotel. We had a nice experience there and the room was huge. We enjoyed the buffet and the Sterling Brunch. Overall it was a good vacation. more

Wonderful ambience and exceptional fare.... 9/26/2006

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with friends recently on our second visit to Mon Ami. We were seated on the patio facing the beautiful Bellagio waterfall show. The food was delicious, and our server Chris's suggestion for Pink Cricket was excellent--the people watching is great too. Would suggest Mon Ami to anyone visiting Las Vegas for a memorable dining experience. Pros: wonderful array of choices on the menu more

Almost worth the experience once 7/24/2006

Stay away from the fries and enjoy the view while you can. Pros: Just rename this place Le View Cons: Unjustified prices, huffy management more

Terrible Service 7/20/2006

The food was good. The service was atrocious. The managers were rude. This place is all about the view. Since when is a 7 oz. sirloin steak with crummy french fries for $24 a good deal? Only in Vegas. Pros: great view Cons: overpriced, terrible service more

Fine Fare, Fair Price, Fair Service 7/13/2006

I read many great reviews about this place, and just had to check it out on my recent trip to Vegas. The food was excellent. As a vegetarian, French Fare can sometimes be unwelcoming... however Mon Ami Gabi not only had an excellent cheese plate (and other vege friendly appetizers) they also had a wonderful veggie plate as a main course. We had a great seat in the Greenhouse - which gave us a view of the fountians, but was a little away from the traffic on the strip. Our service was fair - not the best, nor the worst I've ever had. The price was also fair, but in a good way - two entrees, shared appetizer and dessert, PLUS a bottle of wine for around $100 was less than I expected to pay. I was not as thrilled by the French Crepes for dessert as I thought I might be, but the ice cream and strawberries wrapped up in them were excellent. All in all - definitly worth the trip, and I will return next time I visit Vegas. Pros: Ambience, Vegetarian Friendly, Location Cons: Fair Service more

Wonderful Service 7/1/2006

My wife had spoken to the manager in her capacity as banker, perhaps once or twice.\r \r Arriving unannounced, we we're treated like royalty by female manager and wait staff.\r \r Ordering based on manager's recommendation, our food was delicious.\r \r I hope to return soon and often.\r \r Pros: Service, Ambiance more

Watch the water show from the outdoor patio 5/27/2006

Great food, great service, the outdoor patio is an excellent spot to watch the water show at the Bellagio and to people watch. Pros: food, service, ambience more

Upgrade is worth every cent 5/16/2006

We stayed there for a convention and decided to upgrade our room which included use of The Spa and the hospitality room which had drinks, food, TV's etc. Our room was beautiful and we were able to escape the hectic casino in the hospitality room to enjoy appetizers, enjoy a glass of wine and visit or watch tv a little. A continental breakfast was available there as well. The spa was a wonderful addition, and the women's area brings out the princess in all of us. Pros: Staff top quality, Clean and Well Kept, Inside walkways Cons: view, small pool, long walk to pool more
